Basma Hotel Aswan

Wir hatten schöne renovierte Zimmer mit sehr bequemen Betten. Das Frühstück war sehr vielfältig und sehr zu empfehlen. Das Hotelpersonal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Eine Möglichkeit zum Aufhängen des Handtuchs am Waschbecken war leider nicht vorhanden

We had a lovely stay at this hotel! My friend and I requested two beds which we got — we were welcomed to the hotel once we got there in a really genuinely friendly manner. All the staff we spoke with — from the front desk to guest relations to the bar and restaurant staff — were friendly, welcoming and helpful. They really made our stay! The hotel overlooks part of the Nile so it has some great views and the grounds including the pool and some green space were well maintained and pretty. (We had an amazing swim in the pool once we got there.) Our hotel room was fairly basic but clean and a good size for two people. We only stayed for one night but we would stay again and I would recommend this hotel for people visiting Aswan!

Let me start by saying all this is very minor and I'm only sharing in the interest of full transparency. The hotel is a little outdated (a LITTLE) but I didn't mind and I think makes this a more affordable top hotel. They are making some updates to the hotel so I think this will be addressed in the coming months/years — and, to be clear, we did not hear any noise from the construction/updates going on, I just saw some handyman working. The hotel is up on a hill so it's a little removed from the rest of the downtown area but we found that made the location quiet and the walk (while empty) is really quick -- you're about a 5min walk from the Old Cataract which is great if you're interested in checking that out as well. Finally, completely out of their control, but I did get a few WhatsApp messages from scammers trying to get me to confirm/rebook this hotel — BE WARY of anyone reaching out and asking for credit card information or to confirm the booking once you've made it on Booking.com.

All! The Pool, the room, the food, very nice staff, the view when you book a room with nile and pool view!

Asked for a wake up call and they didn’t bother. We arrived at 1:30 AM after a long flight and nearly missed our tour as a result. We were awoken by our guide at the reception! Old furnishings in room and hard bed, I would not stay here again.
