Really beautiful Accomodation with everything you could need. We didn’t rent a car and got on fine with taxis and the bus to the main town for tours etc. We loved the cat! Really friendly and helpful host Luiz showed us lots of information about Funchal and gave us good local recommendations
Little bit far from the town to walk if you have collections very early for hiking tours etc.

The owner was very very nice. Always approachable and helpful. The concept of the house is really nice and the pool has a wonderful view.

Rustic and comfortable beds with a lovely rooftop terrace which is a great place to have breakfast (or any meal) with a view over the city. The owner is knowledgeable about the local area, and there are quick bus links to the city (it's not a walkable distance for going to town but busses are quite regular) .
The pool was not clean while we were there - the water was brownish green. The only reason we booked this place was so we could use the pool and enjoy the view in peace after running a marathon there, but couldn't actually use the pool so that was disappointing. We could have booked somewhere cheaper with a sea view without a pool closer to the city centre.
Also it wasn't totally clear on the description but the pool area is communal - there are a few other apartments using the same area. The apartment we stayed in had no view from inside either so be careful what you book.

"Die Lage mitten im Wohngebiet bei den Locals hat uns sehr gefallen und der besonders schöne Blick vom Hang aufs Meer, auch die preiswerten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe (Supermarkt und Bäcker).
