Many thanks to Luiz for nice and cozy apartments.We love the pool,the privacy,the old cus-cus factory atmosphere.Beutiful wievs from terrace.Two local authentic restaurants have a very good Poncha.Not in a touristy area.We enjoyed our time at your house.

Wonderful quiet, peaceful location, with stunning views of the harbour. Sun terraces and pool in a beautiful garden. A hidden gem. Bus services are good for town and Monte. A couple of great bakeries, supermarket and restaurants nearby. We loved it so much. Luiz and his family made us feel so welcome, like old friends. We will return soon. The bed was so comfortable. We just loved chilling in the sunshine in the garden. It was so idyllic. The local people in the bars and bakeries were so kind and friendly. There is a beautiful church nearby. Accommodation was spotlessly clean and well equipped for a wonderful stay.

The location is high up in the outskirts of the capital of Funchal and has a beautiful view over the city with the ocean. There were plenty buses that went up and down the mountain and we never felt like we needed to rent a car to get around. Walking down to the city would work, but walking up would be very steep. The apartment has all you would need to cook and stay there comfortably. Host was super friendly and helpful!
The apartment is very close to the church, which rings its bells from 7am, every 15min. So there is no sleeping-in as you are woken up every day at 7am. We didn't mind too much as we had tours booked that picked us up early at that church, so it worked out as our alarm!

Comfortable and convenient location - good facilities in the local area and close to bus stop to get into the city. Our hosts were very helpful in the days leading up to arrival to help us with airport transfer etc. Lovely outdoor area with sunlongers and fantastic view over Funchal and the ocean.

Very helpful & friendly host, who provided good information about the area. Brilliant views over the city. Good connectivity via local bus services. Delightful place to stay that felt like home from home.

Friendly and helpful hosts. Beautiful views from the terrace. Two Excellent local authentic restaurants, a bar and a bakery within 2 mins walk. Not in a touristy area.

Many thanks to Luiz and his wife for this very nice Appartement with a beautiful view over Fumchal. Bus connection to the city center is perfect and the Bars very close to the location have a very good Poncha 🥰

Nice and cozy appartments! Almost everything you can think of is available on the property like roof terrace, swimming pool and cooking gear. You can even use a barbecue if you would like to.
Bed was not too big and the mattress could have an upgrade. Also a rental car is a nice to have because the city centre is not within walking distance.

Beautiful little house with everything we needed. Upstairs bedroom with big very comfortable bed, great linen and bedding. Also we were provided with baby cot which really helped! Nice pool, great area to have breakfast and watch fireworks! Nice little kitchen with all the appliances and even a toaster :) for us it was perfect! We love it!
The photos on the booking.com don’t do it justice! In reality everything is much prettier!!

The atmosphere of the place is friendly, very relaxed, it's like you'd have a vacation at your friend's house. The pool is excellent, with a magnificent view over Funchal. It was really great to arrive back here after the long hikes that we did every day and have a dip in the pool or drinking Madeira wine on our patio. The host (Luiz) is super friendly, intelligent, knows everything about the island.
The apartment has all the equipment that you need on a vacation, and a grocery store is just a couple of minutes away.
