I like to stay at this hotel because of its proximity to the beach and the ease of getting both to the newer and older sections of town. I was very pleased that the hotel staff could find us sea-facing rooms, which makes a huge difference. The staff were very helpful and the reserved parking with 24 hour access made life much easier for us to get around to sites outside of the city. We were there off-season, which I prefer because the number of tourists and hotel guests was very quiet. The breakfast in the morning ran from 0730 to 1030am, which was very convenient, and we practically had the whole dining area to ourselves.

They are small things to mention, but the mattresses are a bit on thin side and though I'm not sure what it was, maybe from the chlorine used to wash the sheets (?), I was usually waking up my eyes a bit red. The room safe was also too small to hold my relatively small laptop.

The property was a pleasant surprise. Rooms were clean, staff was fantastic, food was terrific, and the location was great.

The room was extremely plain and basic for such an expensive price. The gym wasn't open (and if it was it costs extra to use it). Parking costs €15 per day even though there is reserved hotel parking across the road.

It is centrally located in the city and are able to walk to almost everywhere you would want to go.

My bed sheets had a rip in them and a hole. They were not changed at all during my stay. The attention to detail by housekeeping was poor. Took pictures of how they left my bed after having cleaned the room. Trash was not emptied every day from the bathroom container.

Poor restaurant and poor breakfast quality. No ironing facility in the room and staff brings you an iron (without ironing board) which doesn’t fit in the plug!

Position is good close to the beaches. Breakfast is excellent.

Central location

While gym was clearly indicated in the hotel description at booking.com hotel. Hower upon check-in front office staff informed, that 15 Euros for 2 hour would be charged to use the hotel's gym. The charge was not indicated in the hotel description, while free usage of the hotel's gym was the main reason to chose this hotel. The pool is designed for swimming competitions. Pool access was locked with ropes on 3 sides. From 6 showers near the pool, only two were functioning. Overall the hotel is absolutely dated. Front office staff is absultely unfriendly and unhelpful, except one younger female staff.

The young man who was there to assist with parking and general information was very pleasant and helpful (Stefano). The breakfast staff were attentive and helpful. The breakfast was more than sufficient, offering a wide variety of cakes and pastries, and providing bacon, eggs, cheese, cold cuts, etc. The room itself was large and spacious. The location is fantastic, in close proximity to the historic center; and a couple of meters away from the beach.

1. THE POOL/GARDEN area is closed (or was on the weekend of my stay); the hotel should inform guests of this. Staying poolside was part of my planning; and one of the reasons for selecting this facility. Very disappointing!! 2) Also disappointing to be told a "supplemento" would have been required to park; given it is eur15 per day; we arrived a couple of hours before check-in AND were informed the room would not be ready for at least 2 hours past check-in (this was rectified when I questioned it); but it should NEVER have been considered under the circumstances, AND the parking was empty. 3. two-hour delay in check-in 4. After spending some time at the beach, returning to the room for a shower and rest; the room had not yet been cleaned; it was at least 6pm at that time; I do understand there was a celebration in Gaeta, but this should be planned for by management; without inconveniencing guest, so we stayed in the lobby and ordered a drink; 1 drink, which took much too long, again, the reception staff "offered" this drink, but the point is the "service" should not have taken so long. The cleaning staff, even if delayed in cleaning (through no fault of their own); were excellent; attentive and pleasant. We were offered a late check-out; up to 6pm; which for me, was pointless; given the fact the check-in was late, and this is a "typical" courtesy request; I would have requested a late check out anyway (not past 2pm).
