Wonderful hostess Margarida. Very full equiped large appartement. Excellent location for visits.

The host is wonderful. The apartment was outstanding, larger than expected and very nice. The location was also perfect for us as it was in the middle of the “old” town and just a minute from one of the best lookout spots in Lisbon. That was next to one of the cable cars that lift you up the steep hill. What more can you ask for? The apartment has a great range of condiments so you really feel at home.

We are a couple of women in our 50’s that stayed here and had amazing time. The apartment had everything we needed and the location was perfect. Margarida was very responsive and answered all of my questions quickly. I would definitely recommend.

Margarida was a great host. Her communication was very good and met us on our arrival. The apartment was very clean and everything worked well. The was a very convenient, fun, and nice place to stay. The park overlooking the city is one minute away. Beautiful views and a nice restaurant with a patio. We highly recommend this apartment!

Everything was fabulous. The apartment is beautiful and very well-equipped. The location is fantastic. And we stayed fit with all the stairs! Would definitely stay again.

My partner and I absolutely adored this apartment, and had the most wonderful stay. The place is very large and truly gorgeous, in an amazing central location, and the host Margarida was so communicative and helpful. As other reviewers have noted, it's at the top of 4 flights of stairs which can be quite a lot after a long day of walking up Lisbon hills, so be prepared for a hike!

It was fine in the well-equipped apartment. We have enjoyed especially the terrace and the central location. The personal welcome by Magarida was very nice. She was very helpful to fulfill special wishes or to provide us additional information about Lisbon.

Couldn't have picked a better apartment in Lisbon. In the heart of the old town - Bairro Alto. It is just blocks from a ton of loud, fun bars and restaurants, but the apartment itself is quiet. It is spacious with a large, fantastic rooftop terrace (I had most of my lunches there). The owner, Margarida, was very helpful and communicative. I spent a week in the apartment, and it was not long enough.

Highly recommended, great host, attention to detail and good location. One caution, no lift, 90+ stairs to get to the condo

The property is exactly as described. Four flights of stairs so it is not good if you have mobility issues It was in the area we wanted & we enjoyed searching out the sights

The place is great with views over the roofs of Lisbon and down to the river. My host Margarida went to great lengths to share tips and tricks with me about getting around in the neighborhood which were really helpful. Never had seen a kitchen as well-stocked as this one in a holiday apartment before.

If you are open to prolonging your life with some serious stairs, this place is just right. The period building and the bright stairwell with wooden steps and attractive wrought iron railings made the climb up not only good exercise but esthetically pleasant. (There is a wench to haul up luggage if needed). The apartment is on the top floor and it has been nicely modernized so that there are plenty of electrical outlets and a functional kitchen with all the conveniences. It was very quiet. The neighborhood is very lively, central, and must be one of the best areas for a visit to Lisbon. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, and you can walk to most central areas. The terrace gets beautiful morning light and you can see all the way to the river. I am really looking forward to staying here again on my next visit to Lisbon.

Our host was very communicative and the apartment was very clean. Great for two people or possibly a a family with one or two children. Really neat balcony patio and right next to one of the best overlooks in the city. It is on the fifth floor (by US reckoning, fourth by European) and the stairs are very steep, but if you are in Lisbon it's not any worse than the hills.

Amazing location, wonderful spaces, including the outdoor patio, and of course, our fantastic host! Although it is on the top floor with no elevator, if you can handle that, the apartment is spacious, fully equipped, and has a delightful patio with scenic views. Our host was extremely helpful with great advice for our arrival and throughout the trip. Would love to stay here again on our next adventure.

We enjoyed everything! Host was attentive, kind and gracious! Neighborhood is wonderful. Lots of bakeries, bars, shops and restaurants. Very historic. Enjoyed the friendly people. Very much want to return again!!!

This is a fantastic apartment with an amazing terrace, that is is in a great part of the Bairro Alto. A walk in any direction is rewarding. Margarida was wonderful to work with.

Apartment is on 4th floor - no lift - so might be unsuitable for anyone with mobility difficulties, there's an electric hoist for luggage. Apartment is spacious, well equipped, modern and clean. There's a large balcony over the narrow street, with a view of river - about 1km away. It's very convenient for most of the sights which are within walking distance or there's buses, trams and a funicular at the end of the street. There's also shops and restaurants close by. Whilst we were there there was a lovely open area at the end of the street with great views, music and with stalls selling all sorts of food and drinks - very lively and great atmosphere. Margarida was most helpful and met us to check in even though it was 1 o'clock in the morning. We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay - thank you Margarida !

Lovely, spacious apartment was perfect for us. Five flights, 75 stairs but worth it for the balcony! They do have a winch to pull up heavy suitcases, too, during reasonable times of day.

Margarida was a great host, with a lovely apartment in a great neighborhood, just steps away from Ascension Gloria and miradoura. Apartment was spacious, well stocked kitchen and sweet terrace offering views over city and a garden of plants. Saturday night the neighborhood rocks but otherwise is quiet, with small street groceries and terrific restaurants nearby (esp Federico’s!)

We had a great time in Lisbon. Margarida was there to greet us and show us around when we arrived, she is a delightful lady. The apartment was perfect in every way. Incredibly well equipped and everything was spotlessly clean. The balcony has the morning sun and was a great place to sit and soak up the ambience of the place. The local area has a great vibe, so happy we chose to stay in the Bairro Alto. If we return to Lisbon it would definitely be to Margarida's apartment.

We loved our 4 night stay in the beautiful Bairro Alto neighborhood of Lisbon! Margarida was a friendly and helpful host and met us at the apartment on our arrival and gave us a very detailed introduction to the apartment. She has wonderful helpful maps of the neighborhood, metro, etc. The apartment is amazing - very beautiful - eclectic mix of vintage/modern furnishings and decorations. Kitchen is well stocked with anything you may need. The bed and bedding was very comfortable! Yes, you do have to climb stairs to the 4th floor apartment (there is a hook/pulley system for luggage) - but your reward is an amazing balcony with gorgeous views! Balcony is spacious with a table, chairs, and lots of beautiful plants - it was wonderful for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. Location is perfect - walking distance to so much! Right down the block is Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantara - a beautiful park with a fountain and amazing views over the city and out to the water! We also loved the restaurant nearby called "Rosa da Rua" - excellent Portuguese buffet style dinner for under 20E! We walked everywhere and used public transportation (metro, buses, trams) and apartment was in very convenient location for that! Obrigada again to our host Margarida!

This was such a joy for us! The apt was well equipped and the beds comfortable. It was so very charming! Great location near one of our favorite Miradouros! They had wonderful music at night! Awesome view from large terrace. Would stay here again for sure.

Margarida’s delightful apartment provided us with a very comfortable base from which to explore Lisbon. It was well equipped with everything we needed, and the terrace, with it’s lovely view, was a bonus. Margarida was most helpful on our arrival in providing information we might need. We hope to return.

Margarida was a wonderful host who took very good care of us while we visited Lisbon. The location was perfect for experiencing Barrio Alto and nearby neighborhoods. We will definitely try to stay here again when we return to Lisbon!

Everything about this department was almost fabulous and Margarida, the owner, is very-very nice and informative... For good measure, we will draw attention to a quite bad working waterheater - it failed randomly, so we did not know when hot water was available or not. The dishwasher was not working as well. Highly recommendable department, located in one of the best areas in Lissabon.

I stayed here after a friend's engagement party, for some much needed relaxation. I absolutely loved it. The apartment is amazing and in such a great location. And the hosts were very polite and helpful. Hopefully I'll get another chance to stay! Ollie
