Fantastic staff, breakfast and rooftop balcony

We stayed at the hostel on and off for roughly a week and a half, and at every turn they were unbelievably helpful. Whether it was helping us book and organise transfers and trips, or sending us on our way for a 5am flight with a packed lunch we hadn’t even asked for, they really went above and beyond. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and always happy to chat. The rooms were bright, comfortable, well decorated and really homely, with very comfy beds. The toilets and showers were always spotless, and the breakfast was delicious. We felt so welcome throughout our stay and couldn’t recommend this place more. A huge thank you to everyone who looked after us!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Yellow House and would definitely come back! I had a room with a private bathroom. It was comfortable and just what I needed as a solo traveler. I loved eating breakfast on the beautiful roof terraces with views of the volcanoes. The receptionist, Guadalupe, is an absolute gem - very sweet, helpful, and kind!

There is very little to complain about! If you have mobility issues, be aware that there are stairs to get to some of the rooms. Also note that some of the rooms might be small for more than 1 person, but others are plenty big!

The staff are very friendly and willing to help for any of your needs. I need to wait for my night shuttle to pick me up, and they let me stay at the rest area until my shuttle was here. I’m really appreciated.
