Location is number one

We booked a superior room and the bathroom was very small. We are guests of the hotel for over 20 years and we’ve had nicer room for the same category booking

We loved the central location over the square with views of the sea and a great outdoor balcony breakfast view each morning. Easy access to shops, restaurants and other amenities. Staff were very attentive of our luggage, opening doors, directions and generally helpful all the time. Food was great quality at breakfast and at the pool, and everything was super clean in the hotel. We loved the turn down service, robes and additional water given each day. Spa facilities were beautiful and staff helpful. Gorgeous easy to use and access shower. General decor lovely. Occasional gifted drinks and snacks offered by the pool were a beautiful touch and it’s a great area with shower and toilet provided too. We will certainly miss the view!

The water provided is a mineral water and did give an after taste which we didn’t enjoy. Although it did remind us of Feta so very fitting! Rooms are quite small which is understandable for such a historic building but definitely could have provided more storage space - larger hanging space and hooks would have helped. We didn’t have enough space to unpack for a 7 day stay which was a real shame and ended up living out of a suitcase mostly. Pool area quite small and many guests reserve seats all day or do not remove their towels after leaving which disappointed many as you cannot always tell who is there and not.
