This is a beautifully quaint inn perfectly located in Hydra. The view from the double room with private balcony and sea view is outstanding, possibly one of the best views of Hydra. This is the only place I would want to stay in Hydra and I have stayed at top 5 star hotels around the world. But remember this is a quaint little inn so keep that in mind, so don't expect Jeeves to be at your beckon call, but George the owner will do what he can to help.

We like this property for the location and the view of the activity in the port. The accommodations are authentic old style Greek hotel, with basic room and small private bathroom. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is clean. It has a pleasant breakfast room for coffee, drinks, and a wonderful view of the port.

Perfect location by the ferry and constant delight looking over the harbour from the window or balcony. Hot and cold drinks self service a great idea and all good things to eat on the street below.

Be prepared for quite small rooms and very small bathrooms. That's how it is. Relaxed, easy going place, no pretensions, perfect spot.

Hotel is right on the port above a restaurant. While its very close to everything you would like its very noisy. The room is very basic but the Wash room and shower are too basic. For example, warm water for less than 5 min, sometimes not at all.

VERY basic tiny room with the smallest en-suite ever see

Hotel Delfini was absolutely perfect for my stay. Check in was easy, the AC worked extremely well, keeping the room a nice comfortable temperature even on very hot days, and the balcony gave you a beautiful view of port and the rest of the island. The hotel is located a 1-2 minute walk from where you get off the ferry, and is just as close to the many shops and delicious restaurants around the port. My bed was comfortable and the linens were good quality and pristine. I loved the self service coffee bar available all day, and the owner was very kind and helpful with any questions about the island, beaches, how to get around, etc.

If you're very sensitive sleeper and can't tolerate any noise, the port side rooms of this hotel could be tough for you — it's located directly on a working port that's active all day. However, if you have the door closed to your balcony, or simply select a room on the courtyard side rather than the front of the hotel, especially if you have the AC running, you probably wouldn't have any issues. The only other thing to be prepared for is a very small shower. Lots of hot water, just don't expect a lot of space to move around. Neither of these issues negatively impacted my stay, but are the only potential "downsides" I can think of.

The location is absolutely stellar and while my room was smallish it absolutely was more than enough for someone travelling alone. Giorgios is lovely and friendly and very helpful.
