The street view is inviting , once you open the front door the unit has that WOW factor. Fresh , clean and comfy. Kitchen is stocked with thought of how you would want it if you were home , not excessive and including a cheese board .

Wow, wow and wow. We only spent one night here but wish we had spent two. The surrounds and facilities are amazing! The room is large and spacious, We loved the balcony facing onto the garden, You can walk to the beach through the back garden gates.
The room amenities are high quality and plentiful. Such a calm and serene environment.
The hosts had everything catered for which included the thoughtful additions such as sunscreen and insect spray.
The hosts are readily available if you need them, but equally respectful of your privacy if that is what you are looking for. The guest room is on one side of a walkway and the family home on the other. Your privacy is still assured.
We loved this place and couldnt recommend it more highly.
Keep in mind that the property is located in a suburb at Valla Beach so you are not in the immediate walking distance of the main street of Numbucca Heads. We were perfectly fine with being around 18kms away, so not too far away.
Only staying the one night. We wanted to stay longer.

A lot of thought has gone into the design and finishing touches. The location and proximity to a beautiful beach.
At a time when everything was closed we were not able to cook a meal. A bbq or similar would have been great. Not sure what the breakfast provisions should have been beside milk and OJ?

The apartment was very clean and very spacious and in pleasant surrounds. Ample supplies were provided and replacement supplies available. A good and wide selection of books was available.
Provide a gas/wood/electric Bar-b-q. Not everyone enjoys using a microwave. The small fridge should be replaced with a larger one. If we HAVE to use a microwave, provide more freezer space for the frozen meals ..... and beer/wine. Sharpen the large knives in the cutlery drawer. The amount of usable "kitchen" bench is insufficient. Screens need to be placed over the louvres. At one stage a swarm of black flies invaded through the open louvres near the patio. Why do most B&Bs think everyone watches TV from the bed?

The location, serenity, the beach, the toiletries, the fresh orange juice… everything. I wish we had stayed here several nights, not just the one.

Quaint studio with everything you need comfort wise... + some unexpected little extra conveniences in the cupboards. The hosts were extremely accommodating, yet you have total privacy.
Nice neighbourhood with a good feed to be had at the local. Could not recommend Drifted Away highly enough.

A beautiful work of art both inside and outside. The place is simply and tastefully furnished. The garden looks like the work of a landscape gardener. The toiletries are Aesop products. Great job Kate and Carl!
