Rixwell Viru Square Hotel

Location was excellent, especially for a solo traveller as everything is within a safe walking distance. Check in/out process was simple and easy. Room was clean and the hotel accommodated my request to be at the back and not the front of the hotel facing the main street.

The room was a little on the small side but I did book a single room so that's to be expected.

Excellent location at edge of the old town wall. Room with sauna overlooking the wall- spectacular view.

Room was clean but several items left behind by previous occupants

The hotel is located at a corner of the old town. It is very convenient to visit old town and yet quiet. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Our twin or double rooms do not have an electric kettle, so we need to get water from the reception area.

Staff at front desk was friendly and empathetic.

1) my room was across from a nightclub with throbbing disco pounding at least until midnight. Because of this I couldn’t keep my window open which was necessary because 2) the room was excessively warm with no way to control the temperature. 3) I was told that there were no other rooms available and that I should let the front desk know when the music was unbearable and the police would be called. Not a great response. 4) for the heat problem I was given a fan which moved around the warm air and added to the noise. As I said above, I believe the staff was empathetic but their hands were tied. I was told that, by way of compensation, my breakfast could not be comped although my traveling companion was offered comps in return for his erroneously paying for three days’ parking when only one was needed.
