Villa Myrto

Das Appartement liegt zwar nicht am Strand, aber mir dem Auto kann man von hier aus die umliegenden Strände gut erkunden. Toll ist, dass die Anlage über einen Pool verfügt, an dem man sich gut entspannen kann. Ganz besonders hat uns das Essen in der Villa Myrto gefallen. Der Burger war umwerfend lecker.

Wenn man diese Unterkunft wählt braucht man ein Fahrzeug.

I absolutely loved my stay at Villa Myrto. It’s the perfect combination for anyone looking for a peaceful place away from the busy town while still having everything easily accessible. I travelled by bus, and the bus stop is right next to the villa, making it very convenient to get to Corfu Town and back. I was specifically looking for a quiet and relaxing experience, and Villa Myrto was exactly what I had in mind. Surrounded by olive trees and lots of sweet cats, it’s a lovely place to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Glyfada Beach is a beautiful spot to visit, with crystal-clear water, and it takes around 30 minutes to walk there. If you enjoy walking, it’s a lovely route. The way back is a little more challenging as it’s uphill, but totally doable. I often checked the bus timetable and took the bus for the two stops back to the villa, which was super convenient. There’s also a small shop nearby where you can find everything you need to prepare breakfast, for example. Food options in the area are somewhat limited, but there are still enough to get by. I spent eight nights here and was happy with everything. I also walked to Pelekas village, a cute little village that took me around 40-45 minutes to reach on foot. Rali, who takes care of the villa together with her son, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can really feel how much love and care they both put into this place and into making their guests feel at home. I would happily stay at Villa Myrto again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in beautiful surroundings!

We stayed only one night. The villa is in the middle of nowhere, which makes it very quiet and private, and there is free parking on site. On arrival we had some difficulty understanding the check-in process, but the person at the pool bar (who handles check-in) was very kind and helpful. The house was okay for one night. We had a beer by the pool, which looked great, but it was closed in the morning when we left. The view seemed amazing and the place feels perfect for families or groups of friends who want a peaceful stay.

The bed was not very comfortable, the shower was a bit difficult to adjust between hot and cold water and the check-in/check-out process was a bit confusing.

It was clean and the room was a good size.

The owner was abrupt on arrival, not the usual warm welcome we have received on the Corfu Trail. My friend had fallen and the owner was more concerned about her getting blood on the sheets than how she was. There was no water left in the room and the pool bar was closed. She did offer us a burger for dinner. Thankfully Linda’s the local supermarket was wonderful and you could have a drink there. Spyros Taverna was also excellent, fresh food, lovely location and friendly people.
