Pension Oniro

We felt genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious, spotless and comfortable, with a lovely view directly across Votsi harbour. The bed was comfortable, there was a useful fridge, kettle and small kitchenette, effective air-conditioning and a quiet ceiling fan. The balcony was probably our favourite part. We used it constantly for breakfast, tea and coffee, drying swimming things and simply enjoying the beautiful harbour view. We’d wondered whether the road below might be noisy, but Votsi is a tiny fishing harbour rather than a through route and it was remarkably quiet, even with our balcony door open. The room was beautifully looked after and cleaned every day. The staff were exceptional: warm, kind and helpful while remaining completely professional. We were brought homemade sweets, they tried to help when I had a problem with a charging cable, and one of the ladies even carried my rather heavy cabin bag upstairs before I could stop her! Votsi also proved to be an excellent base. The little local beach is very close, with beautifully clear water and plenty of fish for snorkelling. There are places to eat and useful supermarkets nearby, Patitiri was walkable for us, and taxis and the local beach bus made getting around straightforward. A particularly useful tip was that a local supermarket would deliver our shopping, so 12 large bottles of drinking water and a few groceries were waiting in our room rather than us having to carry them. Most of all, Pension Oniro had a wonderfully relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. By the end of our week we genuinely didn’t want to leave.

Very little. At the time of our stay, some online information about breakfast and transfers didn’t quite match what was being provided directly, which initially disappointed us slightly. In practice this caused very little difficulty: taxis were easy to arrange and, with the fridge and kettle, organising our own breakfast was simple. The shower was fairly compact, although it caused us no difficulty. There are also steps into the property and we didn’t see a lift or step-free alternative, so guests with significant mobility difficulties may want to check accessibility before booking.

La vue est magnifique, l’emplacement idéal au pied d’une petite crique charmante. Appartement fonctionnel et très propre. Gentillesse du personnel. Calme.

Beautiful property, comfortable beds, lovely balcony with fantastic views, extremely clean, lovely staff. I would highly recommend staying here.

Everything was great, just remember to have cash to pay the tax at the end of your stay. We didn’t realise this and thought it was included.

Le camere non sono molto spaziose ma non manca veramente nulla e sono dotate di un grazioso il balconcino con una bellissima vista sulla baia sottostante. Impeccabile la pulizia quotidiana con cambio asciugamani ogni due giorni. La titolare signora Licia é molto disponibile e attenta alle esigenze degli ospiti. Possibilità di parcheggiare agevolmente proprio davanti alla pensione.

Non c'é la possibilità di fare la colazione presso la struttura. L'unico bar nelle vicinanze apre alle 10, troppo tardi per chi vuole fare vita di mare.
