The unit at the Truman Annex was very clean and just the right size for the two of us. Key West is a walking town and the Truman Annex is in a great location to get to most of the town.

The good: location! The condo is in the Truman Annex which is quiet and convenient to everything. The parking spot is a little difficult to find because it’s not in front of the condo. The pool is nice, plenty of chairs and shade when needed.
The not so good: the condo is VERY basic. There are no plastic cups to have drinks down by the pool. There is nothing to carry your towels in to go to the beach. There are no games. The TVs and neck straining to watch because they’re mounted too high and they are small. Basically there are just NONE of the little extras that make renting a private condo appealing and there are way too many choices to choose such a basic one. And yes I know you’re in paradise but we all need a little downtime to relax so when you’re inside it should be well equipped.
The bad: the air conditioning went out on our second day. The condo was 82 degrees for three days. I wouldn’t actually complain about this because it’s just something that happens. However, the Vacasa management is VERY POOR. I had to call them THREE times to get an update on when they would fix it. The maintenance guy brought two “portable air conditioners” that even he said “won’t help much”. They did not, it got down to 78 one night and that’s it. The biggest problem for me is the lack of communication. We’re paying over 2k for a week in a condo and you can’t even be bothered to call the tenant when they report a problem? It’s poor management.

Perfect location in the Truman Annex, close to Fort Zachary beaches, music events, Duval street and Mallory Square. Close, but far enough away to retreat to some solitude.

The location is perfect, the pool is lovely. The onsite staff are pleasant and the unit appeared to be really clean. Having said that, The unit leaves a lot to be desired to comfortably accomodate guests.
We booked for four adults. The seating in the living space technically seats four however the chairs are so worn through that the rush seats are below the frame thus making them unusable. The sofa is old but as long as you don't use the sleeper, it is serviceable. The sleeper is horrible.
The bed in the master is on wheels and the headboard is not attached. At two in the morning, rolling over felt like Mr. Toad's wild ride so I tried to sleep on the pull out. I sent pictures of the horrible bite marks that I woke up with, to the management. They texted that someone would get back to me. No one did.
My son appreciated that his bed was against two walls, that minimized his bed traveling however, my other kid did woke up every morning with the headboard leaning over her pillow. I do not understand why a management company would not have properly assembled beds much less a master bed on wheels on tile. This is not a suite designed for discreet romance.
I returned mid day to the apartment to find unannounced men on the balcony. I was a bit freaked out since my daughter was napping in the apartment at the time. I communicated with the management that I needed to know when workers were going to be in the apartment. They assured me that they would, until the next day when another unannounced worker came by to fix a water issue ( I know it was a water issue because the retiree below us let me know all about the issues with the condenser dripping onto her deck, apparently this is a long term issue causing rot to her unit, I assured her that we did not know the owners thus, could not do anything). Generally speaking, the workers were all pretty nice guys who did their best to keep out of the way. Had we known they were coming, we would have planned accordingly. Unfortunately, cutting and installing new gutters on the deck while hubs was trying to get through a webex call with a team of executives proved to be problematic for my husbands work day.
The pool is nicely maintained. It gets a bit crowded and several of the retirees had fairly loud conversations about the crowds getting worse because the HOA only allows 26 weeks of rental per year but owners are ignoring the rules and crowding the pool.
The park behind the Truman Annex is beautiful, the unit is perfectly located and the grounds are a pleasure to walk through. Several other management companies are present in the complex including Compass. I would not recommend a property managed by Vacassa due to poor customer service but I would recommend this gated community. There were a few other irritants but I feel like a week of bad sleep just emphasized what should be non issues so just know, bring a few dishwasher pods if you are here for any length of time. They only give you two and you don't want to leave unwashed dishes anywhere in Florida. If you come in at night, parking is not in front of the unit door. If you are a light sleeper you may want to bring earplugs, one of the neighbors listens to their television pretty loud. If the ironing board falls on you, slide it under the bed, it fits fine just don't leave it close to the bed's wheels -no one wants that extra noise.

The condo had everything you would need for the perfect stay - a full kitchen, laundry and a great location near everything. Close to the action yet still very quiet. Had such a great stay!

The home is nite . Good size for my family . The location it’s very convenient take a walk or bicycle around the neighbor it’s super friendly . The home is clean we love it I will be coming back . Good service call for help anytime you need . Thanks

Nothing fancy- basic essentials were covered. Washer and dryer in the unit was nice to have. It’s a bit dated, older furniture, basic plates and cups to use. Cable didn’t work and Wi-Fi was sketchy but we got by since we were rarely in the unit. Pool was close by and very clean- perfect for us. We would definitely stay here again!

Communication with your customers should come first in my mind and we are very unhappy with your failure to do so.

Didn't get the original house that we rented. Sad for that but this place was centrally located. Did have a wiggly toilet and the washer leaked

Great Location in old town Key West
This is a great location near Duvall Street. We slept very well. The queen bed was very comfortable. Overall the condo was clean but could use some minor maintenance. Patio door needs replacing. Kitchen needs better cookware. (clean but worn out) Owner asked renters to throw in a load of towels and I would have done that, if there was laundry soap in the unit. We enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

The rental company and the location were top notch. This condo does not have ANY bells and whistles. The toaster is half broken, the coffee pot had a broken top, the TV is tiny and ancient. We weren’t able to do any serious cooking as the kitchen was very small and sparsely accessorized. Will come back to the neighborhood but not this unit

Awesome location, convenient to Duval St., Ft. Zachery, & Mallory Square. Beautiful grounds & pool area, loved having my morning coffee on the front porch. The condo was very welcoming, lights were on as we arrived later in the evening. Would stay here again.

Key West vacation
The home was great. The best part about it is that's so close to everything. You can walk to all the places you want to visit and if you don't want to walk, the Duval loop bus stop is close by. The bus is free and goes all through the town. Air conditioned and free. We had a great time!

It is wonderful to book a stay and then find out that it is as good as you hoped for. This two bedroom, VERY clean unit is nicely furnished, with great beds, and with 2 private balconies. The kitchen had everything we needed and the towels and bedding were top notch. Location is everything and it was an easy walk to Duval Street. We would stay here again!
