Das Haus ist perfekt für Familien. Sehr ruhige Lage, toller Pool, sehr tolle Aussicht. Im Dorf sind tolle Restaurant die zu Fuß zu erreichen sind. Wir waren mit unseren 3 Kindern eine Woche auf Kreta und konnten uns sehr gut erholen. Immer zu empfehlen, das Haus ist perfekt für Familien, Terrasse, Pool, Grill, Küche alles gut ausgestattet. Gern kommen wir wieder.

The villa has everything you could possibly need and communication with the owner has been quick, easy and helpful, he couldn’t have done more. Villa: Fully fitted kitchen with large dining table, lots of utensils & appliances. Large bathroom with shower & full sized bath. Comfortable bedrooms with ample clothes hanging space. Both have access to balcony. Views across the bay are breath-taking. Living room has chaise longue & settee. Large flat screen TV with built in DVD. 2nd downstairs toilet with sink & washing machine. Two double patio doors to outside. Outside: Large dining table. Lots of sunbeds plus separate seating area to the side. Pool not large but big enough to swim and cleaned each week. Very private & quiet. Area: Kefalas a lovely unspoilt village with friendly tavernas, well-stocked supermarket & shop. Def hire a car. Great position for visiting other areas. Rural yet but not far from national road. Places to visit: Vamos - 15min drive. Tavernas, olive oil factory, chemist, health centre, bank, ATM and fab bakery. Kalyves - 25min drive. Tavernas, shops, bars and beach area tucked away. Georgioupoli - 30min drive. Lots of restaurants, tavernas, shops & central square with fountains. Good beach, walk along causeway to Agios Nikolaos Chapel. Recommend Mythos tavern next to square and Port Café for cocktails Lake Kournas - 15min drive from centre of Georgioupoli. Pedalos to hire (€10 per hour) Fresh water turtles & wildlife with stunning mountain backdrop. Tavernas & free parking Old Chania - 45min drive. Venetian harbour with narrow cobbled streets, shops, bars, def worth a visit. Rethymno - 45min drive. Narrow streets, browse shops without being hawked but step inside for friendly welcome. Fortress of Fortezza in Rethymno. Great views across harbour and city (€4) Monastery of Arkadi - 40min drive from Rethymno. Beautiful working monastery with gardens very tranquil. Def worth a visit. (€4) Ruins of Aptera - 20min drive. Amazing ruins, really get a feel for ancient times. (€4) Chora Sfakia – 90min drive through mountains. Lovely harbour village with boat hire & ferries to visit nearby islands. Matala - 2.5hr drive. Laid back hippy vibe, lots of bars & restaurants. Pretty harbour with good beach. Lots of caves to explore (€4)

We had a perfect experience. The Villa has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable, stress free holiday. So beautiful, spacious and clean with excellent facilities, including its laundry facilities. Sitting in the balcony at sunrise is a glorious spiritual experience with such calm and stunning views of the sea and mountains, so quiet, so peaceful. The infinity pool waterfall just adds to this incredible relaxing atmosphere. Although in a quiet and relaxing spot, it is also so close to the local tavernas, just 5 minutes’ walk, with amazing friendly people. We experienced real authentic Cretan life and hospitality. A truly ideal location, that allows for exploring surrounding areas with ease. The best location to have a perfect rest but also an entertaining holiday. Pon, the owner was extraordinarily helpful. We could not fault the service provided at the villa, from the clear instructions to reach the villa, the amazing welcome breakfast, to the care to make sure we were having a pleasant stay at his villa. And I should not forget mentioning his help, his excellent recommendation of a very friendly and reasonably priced rental car hire. A most wonderful holiday experience!

Such a lovely villa, with the experience made so much better by Pon, the host. He took has taken time to ensure we are truly comfortable and happy in the villa. Nothing has been too much trouble for him to help us. His main goal was to ensure a great holiday. The pool was lovely and kitchen well equipped with all you need with a young family. There was a high chair, cot and even a buggy! Black our shutters for us is a must-which is so wonderful for day naps with children. Air con was fabulous, sometimes we even got chilly! Pon also organised our rental car which was very competitive and free additional driver and free kids seats! Highly recommend using this rental too! We are so happy with the experience-Pins directions to the house were also brilliant as we arrived late at night. We were also welcomed with fruit, milk, juice and coffee-which was excellent after a late night and not being able to get to shop first thing! He has thought of everything! Thank you!

Want to be away from the hordes? Come yo this property. There are 3 good tavernas in the village, all within a 5 minute walk. The local population are very friendly and you can experience some real Cretan hospitality.

My family and I had a wonderful time in Pons apartment. We stayed here for 4 weeks beginning in middle of May 2019. In total we have been 5 persons: 3 adults and 2 children. We easily fitted into the apartment. The description of the apartment matches the reality and it has all the necessary equipment. The apartment is located with a small complex of 7 other apartments. One apartment is permanently occupied by the English owner who also takes care of the facility. The pool at the back of the apartment is very clean and well maintained. We spent days here. We also loved the beautiful view from the terrace over the small village and the sea. The terrace is the perfect place for a barbecue. The sea itself can be reached by a 5-minute walk and the beaches are beautiful. They are sandy and perfect for kids of each age. The village Almyrida offers a perfect mix of small shops, good restaurants and Hotels and is located in good distance for trips to bigger cities like Chania, Georgioupoli, Kalyves or Rethymno. We will come back to Pons apartment and recommend it especially for families.

Very nice villa, well equipped, spacious, clean, with a fabulous view. Very nice pool too, even if it was a little too cool to jump in. It is furthermore unfortunately not heated. The beds for the children were comfortable, the double bed was too soft for us. Very nice and helpful owner. Clear instructions to find the place. Very good place to live in and to discover the west part of this beautiful island.

The bottom of the pool was invaded with worms as well and no one was there to clean it up during our whole stay. The place inside wasn´t either that good cleaned and I had to throw out about 20 worms when we arrived, they were everywhere. If you touched them they excreted some horrible smell. The pool isn't at all that big as it is said in the description but it doesn´t matter since no one felt like swimming in it because of the crowd of worms. The only thing good about the place was the view. Unfortunately we didn´t want to sit outside on the terrace since the worms crawled all the way up here too. We booked a hotel our remaining stay which made this a very expensive holiday. And no feedback from the owner even though we emailed lots of times.

We really enjoyed our time in Crete staying in the very conveniently located villa. The views from the house were all that was promised and more. We had all the essentials in the villa with comfortable places outdoor to read and lounge around. All in all I would say the villa was good value and I would recommend it for anyone wishing to stay in that part of Crete.

We had the most wonderful holiday in Crete, probably our best yet! The villa was ideal for our family of 5. It was set in very peaceful surroundings and in the lovely village of Kefalas where everyone was so welcoming. We ate at both restaurants frequently and enjoyed both. Maddies was very relaxed and we enjoyed the live Greek music at the restaurant above the Inka shop. The lady running the shop was lovely and so helpful too. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. There was plenty of room around the pool for sun beds. The pool was such a welcome relief when we returned from days out and also to cool you down during the hot days. The air conditioning was great too. The views from the villa were just amazing. I would jump out of bed in the morning and just go and sit out there on my own and enjoy the scenery and peace and quiet. Just perfect. For us the villa was ideal, it was within driving distance to lots of fabulous places to visit, including beaches. Our favourite two being Kalives and Alymirda. We had great communication from the owner too. We will definitely be booking to stay here again and have recommended it to family & friends.

We had to cancel our holiday in the villa due to personal circumstances. Pon Logan, the owner, was very cooperative in admin activities required to claim back our money from the insurance company. That was very much appreciated.

It was a nice villa accommodation for a week stay. The village of Kefelas was very quiet only a shop, restaurant and bar but that is all we needed. It was very peaceful at the villa and pretty area. Sunbathing you can hear the birds and sheep bells next door was very relaxing and quiet. The views from the villa were lovely over the sea. My son who is only 1 found the unheated pool too cold at first but got used to it by the end! We had a lovely time in our own pool which we’ve never had before. It was the perfect size villa for a small family of 3. The only criticism I would say would be the villa needs a little updating with the single beds in the guest room not too comfortable to sleep on. Also, the sofas are basic and not so comfortable. We didn’t use the bbq but all the kitchen equipment for self catering was great. The balcony views were lovely. The only other criticism would be the villa needs a little care. Maybe we just have very high standards! I would give it a 3 star but the views and own pool make it better. The village is walkable when we found out how to get their on the meandering small streets! You can turn left at the top of the street and down the hill and around then turn right onto the main road which takes you by the restaurant. The food their is very good! The first night we arrived they had Greek musicians and we had such a lovely time. Maddies bar is fun too with big garden and playground next door. My son loved chasing the stray cats! Trips to Rethymno well worth it very pretty fortress and harbour is lovely with restaurants and shops! Also, we went to Almyrida and Georgiopolis beaches which were a bit busier towns. Vamos is a sleepy town nearby with more shops and tavernas. Vamos has the old village buildings there too. Crete is beautiful! This villa gives you what you need for a family stay!

We have enjoyed our stay in the villa. We were satisfied with the price-quality ratio. We love the Apokoronas area and have been there already more often. The route instructions were fine and the key-box easy to use; there was enough parkingplace. The house was properly cleaned. We were surprised that the swimming pool was filled! The swimming pool was cleaned regularly by a friendly boy. The tv and household appliances all worked well The view over the sea was wonderful, from the bedrooms you could see the sunrise. Because we were there in February, it was pretty cold and windy outside. Despite the temperature of the shower was sufficient. If the sun was shining, we could even sit outside . During the winter there are -of course- less shops and restaurants open, but it was enough for us. We had two points for some improvement (heating/furniture); the owner was very customer oriented, and has reported us to improve these points.

We had a perfect overall experience staying here! We initially booked 4 nights but ended up staying for 6. We were lucky enough that Pon was on Crete during our visit and staying in the Villa next door and could help us out with whatever questions we had from the very start. Pon was genuinely very friendly and incredibly accommodating to everything we asked for and needed! The town of Kefalas is very small but relaxing. We loved it there. We spent our down time beside the pool which was perfect. Our favourite beach nearby was georgiopolis - about 15 minute drive away. We also did day trips to Rethymno and Kalives which had very nice beaches too! Lots to see in Rethymno! Castle and old town were highlights for sure! We did a day trip to the south coast which was surprisingly quick and easy from this location - only about an hour drive to Hora Sfakion then a quick ferry to loutro... And the drive was super beautiful!! We also stopped in at Frangokastello while on the south. The castle and beaches were amazing!! Chania is very close by too but we didn't have time to check it out during our stay. Hopefully next time! I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing spot that's also fairly close to a lot of interesting towns and places. Thanks again Pon!

This villa is unlike anywhere I have ever stayed before, and I have stayed in lots of Air B&Bs. The views...Oh. My. God. Absolutely amazing, sometimes it's hard to believe that you're actually seeing what you are seeing it is so stunning. The peaceful waterfall from the infinity pool is so relaxing and you don't hear hustle and bustle as there's no cars that will drive past the villa ever because of the designated parking. The villa is clean and the owner is an amazing amazing person. He helped me out at 10pm the night before when I was in a pinch. I am forever grateful for that. He responded immediately to ever question I had and would text or email just to check in because he knew I was traveling alone. He even answered close to 1am when the power went out and I had a mild anxiety attack! (Power came back on within 5 minutes and I assume high winds knocked it out). He is a very gracious person & host. The villa is absolutely comfortable, the balcony off the bedrooms is a great spot for morning coffee with an INCREDIBLE view. The decor is very minimalism which I love because it doesn't clutter the mind and is very clean yet feels like home. There's a washer which was nice to do laundry before leaving, and a very update kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal! The little town is quite quaint and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Although you feel extremely remote and away from it all, it's not a far drive at all to restaurants, beaches and other attractions. This is the perfect villa to relax, unwind, do yoga by the pool and you'll probably not even turn the television on, I didn't. Lots of friendly cats will stop by to say hello also! I am a femal that was traveling along and felt extremely extremely safe staying in the villa. Perfect for families or for singles/couples. You won't regret renting Pon's villa and I hope to be back in the future!

This was our second stay at Pon's villa. If anything I have to say it was better than last year and that was a fabulous holiday. What's really important to me when I go on holiday, is tranquility, scenery good food and wine, being at the villa provides it all. The villa is everything I want on holiday, the facilities are excellent, I do love not coming home with loads of washing plus the fact it dries in no time! We had a couple if minor issues whilst we were there but Pon and his team sorted them with no fuss and very fast, excellent service. The best thing about this villa is the location, the silence, the peace, the views are wonderful. The area has everything you need, counting down to our next visit!

Our second stay at this comfortable villa with outstanding sea views from the pool and balconies. The villa is a relaxing stroll from the village centre where there are a few good shops and restaurants - no car needed whilst there. Excellent contact from the owner in advance and great support from the local property managers during our stay. We'd not hesitate to return.
