The style of the house... High ceilings, creaky wooden floors, a cavernous bathroom, big clunky old world furniture.. Magical! I loved the voorstoep... Sitting out there on the main road watching the towns people come and go.. Just created such a feeling of a time warp. The hosts were amazing too.. I arrived on old years eve and they invited me to join them for a drink on their stoep.

Gert & Amanda were easy going and accommodating of my requests. Being in the absolute center of town makes the Huisie a convenient base for accessing the amenities on foot.

Nearby restaurant and coffee shop- amazing beautiful scenery all around. Clean roomy accommodation. Friendly hosts. Delicious breakfast. Electric blanket and nice bed made for good nights rest. Safe parking for vehicle.

There is nothing to complain about.

The room was very good, large, roomy, high ceilings, all olde world charm. My stay was really pleasant, and I will be back, and recommend it to friends as well. They also parked my car securely inside the property.

The security door lock could be updated or fixed.

No fresh air possible. Not one picture in the rooms!
