Very quiet and yet very close to all attractions

Reception staff could have been better prepared for the first-time visitors to Phuket.

we stayed more than a week with cold water and despite various reminders they never remedied the problem. only the last two nights they changed our room

The check in process was quick and easy. We were offered a room on the top floor like we prefer. The location is very quiet and not far from a big road so it's good if you have a car. There is a Family Mart nearby (2-3 minutes walking distance). WiFi was okay, stable and good enough. As a tea lover, I was pleased to see big cups and tea bags of a decent brand. There was a proper mini-fridge, bigger than at most other hotels.

The hotel was almost empty, we didn't see a single other guest during our entire stay. The receptionist was there only when we arrived for check in, but we never seen anyone at the reception again (except for the guard at night). Felt a bit creepy to stay in an empty hotel. There was a foul smell in our rooms, not sure what it was (not just a sewer smell) but we could barely stand it. Probably the hotel was closed for a long while and just re-opened recently. Rooms weren't cleaned for our arrival, there was a layer of dust on all surfaces. At least they have changed the bed linens. The location is a bit far from everything, if you don't have a car/motorbike you will be stuck there. Walking to the Phuket Old Town will take about 40-50 minutes. There are no nearby restaurants, only a Family Mart. Considering the price though, it was a good value for money even though we wouldn't make the same choice again should we go back in time.
