House / Villa - Vico Equense
The house is situated on the Sorrento Coast, in Vico Equense, a few steps from the Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento and Pompei and from the city centre. It is a two-family house, recently restored, with an amazing view on the sea and on the Naples bay panorama: breathtaking sunsets are guaranteed!
The large terrace is equipped with gazebo, table, deck chairs and barbecue. The parking for one car is under the house in a open garage.
In a few minutes you can reach by foot, bike or car the bathing lido of Marina di Vico Equense, Terme dello Scraio, Capo la Gala, Bikini or Le Axidie in Seiano, which is the next bay after Vico Equense.
From the small port of Seiano there is a hydrofoil service to Naples and Sorrento, Capri and Positano. From Vico Equense is possible to arrange every kind of excursion: to the marine protected area of Jeranto and Crapolla by train and bus or to the Mount Faito by train and cableway. There is also a small agency in the city centre with arranges car trips for every destination you may desire, including the bathing lido, at very cheap prices. The Sorrento Coast stands for the environmental policy followed: everywhere is carried out the separate collection of waste and so we ask our guests to do, in order to preserve all this beauty.Vico Equense and the whole Sorrento Coast is the right place for food lovers from all over Europe: a gastronomy of excellence has developed in these last years, by Michelin and Gambero Rosso. You can organize delicious dinners on our terrace thanks to a very famous restaurant in city center which sells take-away.

Clean and well equipped holiday home in Vico Equense. The hosts Eleonora and Nicola welcomed us, showed the facilities in the home and a quick guide tour of Vico Equense.
Vico Equense has everything you could want within a 15 min walk into the town centre. We had excellent meals at Terrazza Alfonso, L'Universita della Pizza and La Salumeria.
The train station is a flat 10 min walk, with trains to Sorrento and Herculaneum/Pompeii. The train can be crowded, especially toward Naples, so allow extra time if you can't get on the first train. We drove to Herculaneum one day, but used the train/boat for Sorrento/Capri, train for Pompeii and train/bus for Positano.
Be aware that the road outside the house is busy with cars and scooters. It can be very noisy at night if you are used to quiet. We got used to it after a couple of nights.

This was our first trip to Italy, and we found this house to stay for our first part of the trip. I must say the house is very nice and comfortable. It is on a busy street, so you do hear the traffic noise, but truly it got so I for the most part didn't even notice very much. The town of Vico Equense is cute, filled with friendly people and great restaurants.
The view on the patio is wonderful and at night with the sunset, it can be breathtaking.
Once in town as well you can catch the local train that takes you to a variety of places including Pompeii, Sorrento, Naples. We took this train for many days for the various outings we had planned, and it worked very well.
My only issue, and it’s because I have bad knees and other health issues, were the steps leading up to the house were tiring and the walk into town was constantly gradually going uphill. At times this was a challenge for me, but taking it slow I made it work.
The hosts were marvelous and very friendly and helpful as needed. Whenever I asked questions even before our arrival they always responded quickly.
I would recommend this house for the beauty and friendly people of the town.

Comfortable house perched above the coastal road with views of the crystalline Gulf of Naples. Ischia in the distance, the Marina di Vico just to the left. And the terrace...the terrace is the best. Scents of honeysuckle and rosemary. Fresh sea breezes to accompany breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Apertivi and digestivi. Simply unforgettable.
Town is a lovely short stroll away. Vesuvius always in view. Vico feels touristed but not super touristy. Excellent negozi, restaurants, pasticcerie, latticini. Kind, simpatici people.
Eleonora and Nicola are kind
and gracious hosts and were very responsive when we had an unforeseen issue.
Memories to savor for a lifetime.

The view from the balcony was stunning, especially during sunset! The location is nice, short walk to train station and to the local square, where there is plenty of restaraunts and stores to accommodate most needs. We left for most of our day trips out of Sorrento, so being walking distance from the Circumnavania station helped a lot. Sorrento was only 5 stops away and only about a 10 minute ride. The hosts were very helpful, they respind quickly to any concerns/questions you may have. They also provide local tour information and offer any assistance to help get you adjusted upon your arrival to Italy. Great experience.
