The place is very neat and located walking distance from the beach. It was the perfect spot to rest after a long flight. The owner and staff are super friendly and helped us with getting transport arranged to our next destination. The owner brought us to the busstop and patiently waited for over 20 minutes till the buss arrived. I would highly recommend to begin or end your trip in Sri Lanka at Summer Side in Negombo!

I had a spacious room with a river view. The pool is clean and big enough to swim. If you need to work, there's a comfortable common area. If you stay for a longer period, they may allow you to use the kitchen. The beach is near, as well as a few good restaurants, like Ocean 14 or Jude's Place.

Parking was outside next to the road. Not enough parking.

The manager and the helper both were very kind and helpful and even took me to a place nearby for dinner as i reached there late night. Room was big and clean. Toilet was clean . It had balcony as well. Also served complimentary coffee before leaving for airport. Would love to visit again.

Dog next door barks

This is one of those properties that look good on paper/internet but in reality it’s not working as it should at all. Swimming pool looks nice but nobody is really using it since the water is not that appealing. Location is ok, 15 min (1 km) to restaurants, shops and bars.

There’s a picture on this site showing traditional asian breakfast but in reality you get toast, butter & jam, a little bit of fruit and omelette. Sri Lanka has tons of mostly vegetarian/vegan dishes and amazing spices and sadly you do not get a taste of that. If you’re vegan this place is definitely not for you. On this site it’s also mentioned that you can pay by card unfortunately that’s not the case. Nobody seems to have an energy to make your stay more pleasant or customize your needs. However everyone is nice and they greet you with a smile every single time.
