Great location and good communication with the owner.

Beautiful location, lots of lovely walks, short drive to giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-rede rope bridge. The house itself was so cosy and warm even though it was windy and cold outside.

The location is absolutely awe inspiring. The cottage was exactly as described, well equipped, and so cozy. Turlough was an excellent host and called shortly after check in to make sure everything was ok and provided some history of the cottage. We can't wait to return.

Absolutely amazing location! Breathtakingly beautiful views. Cosy and rustic cottage. Very clean and tidy! The only improvement that we think could be made, is replacing the mattresses. People have obviously had great comfort out of them but they’re springy and creaky. Everything else, absolutely spot on.

This OLD cottage is rustic, busting with character and feels like home the minute you walk through the door. It's location makes it hard to leave, even to visit the rest of this amazing island.
Can not wait to return.

Our third stay with 3 kids (5,7,9) and there's yet so much to explore. We had a few sunny summer days with the most beautiful sunsets, big waves and enjoyed just being inmidst the wild landscape. Roark's Kitchen and a coffee cart with icecream in front, a big garden with a barbecue place in the back and the patio on top with an uncomparable view. We had everything we needed inside and more with lots of games, toys, playstation. Just a fantastic stay. Thank you for that.

My husband and I eloped at Dunluce Castle in May, we stayed at this cottage with 4 of our friends and family for 5 days before the wedding. When I tell you it was the perfect place, everyone in our group adored it, it is right on the beach. As we drove down the windy road to the house we thought at first we missed it, surely it can’t be that close to the water but it was and it was stunning. Our first day there we explored the beaches and hiked along the path. It was close to great restaurants and a short drive from things like the rope bridge and causeway coast. I think even if we had stayed in the cottage or on the beach the whole five days it would’ve been fine, it’s the perfect place to spend a cozy night in making memories with your loved ones. I loved this place and hope to be back one day, it made our first trip to Northern Ireland a special one, and made our wedding day all the more magical. I’d highly recommend if you want a picturesque setting for your next vacation.

The location was everything. The cottage was well equipped for a family and we loved it so much we’ve booked to go back next summer.

We had an amazing time at this stay! The owners were great communicators. The location is just the best. We especially loved reading in the warm greenhouse in the evenings. The harbor sunrises and sunsets are to die for. It is a great place to visit all the causeway coast sites too.

One of my most favourite places on earth. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Bunk bed broken, child had to sleep on matter on floor. Kitchen cupboards filthy, matresses extremely uncomfortable need replacing. Outside at the back need a lot of attention as there are loose handrail and decomposing wooded steps. The place is in a fabulous location, however the premises needs a complete overhaul in order to have a pleasant stay. We left 2 days wary of a four day planned stay. I sent messages to both owners numbers to make them aware of the situation, and 2 days later I still have not heard from them, therefore I am writing this review.

Location Location Location, this is heaven on earth. Walks, swims and relaxation, we throughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is just perfect, has everything you require. The sunroom has amazing views and the rear of the house is quiet and secluded. We could not recommend it enough.

We were very pleased with our stay. The property is as advertised and the conditions at the mountain were great. We found that to get to the mountain it is best to drive and pay for parking or to drive to the free Stinson lot (couple miles) and take the bus. Our only suggestion is that the kitchen could use some additional glasses particularly wine glasses.

Lovely warm, cosy cottage in the most idyllic setting. We had everything we needed for a perfect week. Plenty of towels, comfie beds, fully equipment kitchen. Dog friendly too, we stayed with our 3 dogs. Picturesque setting, stepped out of the front door and a couple of steps to the beach. Beautiful walks around Ballintoy and up to Whitepark Bay. Lovely local pub, also dog friendly. We had a perfect week, thank you Turlough

We had a wonderful stay in this cottage. Communication with the owner was first class and nothing was too much trouble. The house is in an ideal location for exploring nearby attractions and the beautiful coast. We loved the walks from the cottage. The property itself was very characterful - a couple of bits of furniture could do with being updated as the chairs, for example, were abit rickety! We would definitely recommend this property to anybody looking to explore Northern Ireland!

When we got to the cottage we were AMAZED! We had no idea when we booked it that it was such an amazing property. It is literally on the ocean with gigantic crashing waves that were mesmerizing! The cottage was right out of a novel and the glass house in the back had even more stunning views of the ocean from a warm, cozy place! We feel very blessed to have stumbled upon it and made lifetime memories while there. Definitely not your average rental!

Lovely cottage which was very clean and well presented. We arrived on a cold windy day but the heating was on and house very cosy. The owner rang to check everything was in order and it was. We spent 4 days relaxing, exploring local attractions and going for very long walks. We will be back to stay again.

We did an 8 day tour of the Republic of Ireland with Rick Steve's and it was wonderful. We then rented a car and drove up to Northern Ireland and were lucky enough to book the O'Rourkes Cottage at Ballintoy Harbour for 4 nights. Needless to say it was the high lite of our trip. Everything was more than perfect! Our ancestors came to the USA from nearby B ally money in 1727. Great place to explore our heritage. Thank you so much.

Perfect location to explore the area on foot and on water
The summer house in the top of the garden is just out of this world. Even the children loved sitting in it to enjoy the surrounding views. The house is a traditional cottage with lovely charm. You will find all that you need to enjoy your holiday. Loads of outside storage for beach gear, and an extra fridge and freezer. We were blessed with great weather and had the most brilliant holiday. Thank you Turlough and Lisa.

An amazing place for getaway break!
The Ballintoy cottage is a great place for a getaway break. We had a week with our kids and grandkids staying on different days, and everyone loved the space.
We enjoyed chilling in the house, and particularly in the garden and sunroom! The garden is really well enclosed (and large!), - plenty of room for the grandkids to play safely. (It was a really nice surprise to discover lots of big cars and trucks for the grandkids to play with in the garden, they loved them!)
We had an activity filled week, trying Kayaking and Paddleboarding, which you can do from Ballintoy Harbour, without driving anywhere. And the beach for playing, swimming and crab hunting, is right on the doorstep.
Great communication from the hosts.
Highly recommend Lisa and Turlough’s cottage!

Love this place so much
Absolutely amazing second stay in this wonderful property. Sometimes places don’t feel as good second time around- that’s definitely not the case here. We will never get bored of this amazing place. It’s just perfect and Turlough is lovely to communicate with even when theres a little hiccup as there was on our last night. I love the fact you feel like a celeb when you’re there as everyone stops and points at the house and particularly the sun room! Everyone loves it. We must have been asked a dozen times if we owned the house! I wish! We’ll definitely be back, just not as soon as we’d like. I’m missing it already.
