Hôtel Restaurant Du Château

The location is exceptional opposite the castle. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. We liked the hotel very much overall.

Front desk staff were very helpful but the dining room staff appeared too busy to attend to our needs complaining that we had not made a reservation in a half empty dining room, that we had sat in the wrong place or that coffee cups could not be provided as they had cleared them away. It was quite hilarious actually. Memories of Faulty Towers?

There isn't a great choice in Josselin for accommodation but this is a very acceptable hotel. The rooms are small but they are clean and comfortable and have tea and coffee making facilities, which is unusual for a French hotel. . The hotel sits by the river opposite the Chateau. It's a great view but a good climb up the hill to the town. This was my second time staying and the staff are always friendly and welcoming and there is English spoken for those that need it. I will stay here again, as I do work with one of the shops in the town.

I think the breakfast is expensive for the choice but then I'm happy with a croissant and coffee. Last time I stayed the evening menu was pretty good. This time not so much so. The specials were repeated a couple of times. I ate in the restaurant once and after that ate out. Josselin is blessed with a lot of restaurants, though out of season you would need to check which are open.

Die Lage, direkt am Schloss, war super. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut. Beim Frühstück gab es eine große Auswahl.

Die Dusche war zu eng. Abends war es sehr laut auf der Terrasse, so dass Schlafen bei geöffnetem Fenster kaum möglich war.
