Wyndham Istanbul Old City

The Location is EXCELLENT. For the staff, I would tell you, the concierge dude is the best person you would meet in old istanbul, Hatakhan, i think his name is (Pardon me). The breakfast was amazing with a good spread.

We took the silent basement room, It was not the best choice for us and our experience. Seemed some renovation would be required to enhance the mood/experience there.

Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Frühstücks Buffet mittelmäßig. Das fünfte Bett im Zimmer war ein Schlaf Sessel, kein richtiges Bett wie eigentlich gebucht.

Everything was amazing, from an amazing breakfast where you can see the sight over Istanbul, to the relaxing swimming pool, richly decorated interiors and confort in the room. Everything was very tidy and the personnel always wants to make sure that your stay is alright. 100% would recommend!

My room had an inconvenience with the air conditioning, and heat can be really uncomfortable in Istanbul. But the room had a fan, so it somehow did the work. Apart from that, everything was flawless.

The hotel was in a great location, not far from a lot of the main attractions, plenty of restaurants & the main bazaar. Indoor pool was nice & heated.

The hotel describes itself as 5 star however I would personally put this hotel as a 2 star maybe a 3 star at a push. The breakfast does not cater for Western European’s and quite frankly was dreadful. Fruit was hard, coffee out of a machine was watered down, tables not laid etc bit of a free for all. There was no restaurant facilities although on booking online it stated there was. The rooftop pool was freezing cold and unclean. The cost for a small can of coke is around £5.00. The indoor pool was nice and heated however, there was jacuzzi, the sauna was only at moderate temperature each day I used it & the steam room was out of order and all the tiles had fallen off the walls. The room was small and dark overlooking a derelict building, noisy and there are wires exposed on a number of electric items.
