I LOVE this spot! When I was a kid, we were a boating family, and this house is as close as you can get to the boating experience while on land. You can hear the waves on the shore as you wake up and smell the salt air. The patio provides incredibly relaxing and ever-changing views as the tides change. The neighborhood is charming and the location is close to lots of summer attractions. Janice is easy to work with if you need anything!

The house, 3 BR (plus a sleeping loft for children that we did not need) was perfect for our group of friends looking for a house on the water, centrally located between NYC, New Hampshire, and Long Island (coming in on the ferry). Waterford is a lovely town, easy drive to Mystic, Niantic, etc, Harkness State Park for “light” sightseeing. But mostly, it was the house, comfortable, well maintained, well-equipped kitchen, that allowed people (and one dog) to unwind, settle in, and catch up, with the beauty of Jordan Cove as our constant companion. Wonderful week, just before Memorial Day.

We enjoyed another wonderful week in this very comfortable house. We had great weather all week and were able to sit and enjoy the views and walk the neighborhood! We will be back!!

Perfect spot for enjoying the wonders of the water and the comforts of home. The breeze in the house was amazing so sleeping was comfortable. Beds, furniture and all the items one needs to stay away from were very comfortable and nice. Highly recommended for kayaking and snorkeling about.

This is a spot with incredible, ever-changing views. So beautiful and relaxing!!! Being right on the water we got to hear the waves, birds and other natural sounds of the cove and Long Island Sound beyond. My husband and I and our two grown twenty-something children all felt comfortable and enjoyed this vacation so very much! We kayaked, used a SUP, and walked out on the sandbars. We also enjoyed walks in the nearby neighborhoods and an evening listening to music outdoors at the Eugene O'Neill theater center, which is close by. Janice the property manager is wonderful to work with and we would love to come back!

Lovely property and view of the water. Great for connecting with family, paddle boarding and birdwatching. We would love to return!

Our family had a wonderful week! The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. My favorite room was the sunporch. The views were amazing!

This Pandemic home away from home offered a comfortable stay on a scenic cove opening to Long Island Sound. Bring your binoculars and enjoy the shore birds sharing the sandbars at low tide. There are beaches and parks nearby to visit. There are also nearby restaurants and fish markets.

The house was wonderful and we enjoyed sitting by the fire at night. There wasn't much firewood when we arrived but Janice had wood delivered the next day. (Thanks Janice, you're awesome) We loved just sitting on the porch and watching the birds, boats and sunsets. We didn't want to venture too far with the current pandemic. The house and family history is very interesting. Hope to return in the future. Have already recommended this house to other family members.

Stayed with a largish group of family, and all enjoyed getting to watch the weather from the comfortable deck, and occasionally go kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding (we brought a kayak and a SUP with us). Shops are nearby, kitchen is adequate, and the dishwasher and washer/dryer were definitely appreciated. We would go back.

Just as pictured. Very relaxing. Clean, well maintained. Plenty of room for our group. A bit weird because there was a safety drill alarm for the power plant that we heard but, other than that.. quiet, peaceful, lovely stay. Be sure to bring water shoes!

We rented this house for our honeymoon and could not have picked a more perfect location. The house with it's view and location right on Long Island Sound was awesome. Janice was just as awesome from making sure we had everything we needed to recommending a couple of places to go and do. She even checked on us after a strong storm (which I might add we enjoyed watching from the sunroom looking out over the water). There is also a lot you can go and see with just a 15 minute drive. We are already thinking of renting this house again next year.

What a GREAT place! Sitting on the wonderful deck, enjoying the sun rise and sun set, a cup of coffee in hand and with the view of the water - your spirit is refreshed! The sound of the water is the backdrop of restful sleep. Janice, the manager, is a thoughtful host! The best recommendation I can give - after a 5 day stay, I did not want to leave. We could not have found a more peaceful, zen like, comfortable home to celebrate our anniversary with family. Thank you again Janice for being so accommodating to answer questions, jump on small issues and being so friendly - you are the best!

Property is as described. A few bumps in the road on our two week stay but Janice the property manager was very responsive as were the actual owners. The view is amazing from just about every room. All in all we enjoyed the house and the location was perfect to entertain family that is in the area. Oh and the dock was perfect for my husbands boat as long as you pay attention to the tides and the location of the sandbars.

We had a great week with the family here watching the tide come in and the animals entertain. Hoping next year to get some fishing in,, great location neighbors and house. It was like a home away from home. Easy process from start to finish, nothing amiss everything st our fingertips. A 4th of July for the books.

My sister and I had a wonderful week at this location. The house was in pristine condition and fully equipped with everything we needed. The stair lift was a great plus, as I use a walker and getting to the second floor was so much easier with the stair lift. The cove provided endless beautiful vistas—it was such a pleasure sitting on the deck and looking out at the water. The proximity to Niantic, with its stores and boardwalk, was great. And beaches were easily reachable. Janice, the property manager, was extremely nice and very helpful. All in all, I can heartily recommend this venue. Joellyn Ausanka

We had fun as well as a very memorable time. The adults took our grandchildren (ages 2 through 6) out to the sandbars at low tide on several occasions.The kids ran around the sandbars and had lots of fun. In fact, the dock at the house made it much easier to carry the kids out to the sandbars. We found the house to be well-stocked with everything we needed. FYI: Across the Cove near Pleasure Beach on Shore Road, there is a small convenience store that also makes sandwiches, etc. We went to the Children's Museum in Niantic, ate in the local ice cream parlor, and explored the town shops and restaurants. Also, we took a trip to Mystic. Other than that, we enjoyed those beautiful waterfront views from the back patio of the house! Lots of interesting water activities: boats, jet skis, kayaks, sail boats, and the unique "bird life!" No need to travel far. It all happens right there in the Cove! Sharyn & family

The house was clean and comfortable and right on the water. We rented kayaks for a few days and kept them at the house. We really enjoyed exploring the area. Property manager was super nice and very easy to work with.

We recently stayed here for a week and had a great experience. The home is lovely and spacious, it is right on the water and has a great view. Although there is a powerplant nearby, because the house is in a cove, you can't see it at all. The home is in very nice condition, it has everything you will need, including dishes, cooking utensils, towels, sheets, etc. The home has fabulous views of the water, though it is not a beach house. however Rocky Neck beach is a 10 minute drive away and is one of the nicest beaches in Connecticut. There is a great patio overlooking the water and the boat dock with a nice retractable awning for shade when you need it. It has a newer gas grill which worked well for our World Cup cookout! There were a couple of minor issues which were resolved immediately by the property manager who is very available and very responsive to concerns. I even brought my dog who loved hanging out on the waterfront patio and had a great time as well. The house is close to everything, we made numerous trips to Mystic (25 minutes tops) for the museum and the great restaurants there as well as to the outlets in Clinton (a bit farther). There is a great little breakfast place right nearby called "When Pigs Fly" or something like that, great local joint with good food (heads up- cash only). It is also a nice area for biking, I did a good amount of biking around the cove. The only real issue we had was the internet service is not that reliable, both my girlfriend and I lost service and connections frequently, it would eventually come back but was annoying. Might be something worth trying to fix, I got the impression that the local cable company is not exactly state of the art....but that was really a minor distraction and overall would highly recommend this vacation rental!
