This was a one night stopover on our road trip from San Jose to the Pacific Coast. The Cabinas Brisas is a family run Soda House with a few rooms with basic facilities that would suit seasoned travellers. The owners are extremely friendly and provided us with an evening meal and breakfast, both of which were cooked to order and very satisfying. The room was comfortable and had air conditioning and was good for our one night stay.

The location was easy to find and the village was beautiful (very countrified). The personal was very obliging and friendly. They cooked us dinner in the evening.

There is no warm water. Loud noises from a party (?) in the night. Lot of insects like mosquitos and centipedes.

The room is extremely basic and there appeared to be a party going on the evening I arrived and then everyone was up again at 4 am so I did not get a lot of sleep

There was an obscene amount of mosquitoes in the bathroom, like clouds of them 😭

Great family operation! They welcome you and with conversation you can be part of the story.

No hot water. But who needs it when the cold water is so warm and refreshing?

they let me check in super late, the bed was big, and the $6 breakfast was good too.

the neighbors or nearby bar were having a party and people were yelling and blasting music until late. the shower pressure was so strong (think firehouse)and the water was cold.

We stayed for one night. Very well, clean with good air conditioning. We had a flat tyre and the lady from the hotel helped us find a mechanic and even drove in front of us to show us the way. Despite she could not understand a single word in english we would realy recommend. She has a son who speaks english.
