The location is fab..the shower is a basic caravan one but really good and powerful..was nice and quiet at night..near to all the amenities but far enough away so you don't get distubed..had to phone on arrival as there was no caravan number and the gentleman we spoke to was pleasant polite and helpful and guided us round the site till we found the caravan..

The caravan wasn't the one in the email pic.. It has an old black decking area not the new white ones as shown in the picture. The plates and cups was dirty and still had food bits on them.. the freezer was held together with black tape as was the plug socket in the hallway..the rug in the hall is all curled up and the carpet between the kitchen is frayed and coming away..all these things could be fixed so cheaply for example a thicker carpet grip for the carpet in the living area. Replace the hall rug and fridge put a new plug socket on. The matress definitely needs replacing it's so uncomfortable and lumpy.. and also matress and pillow protectors would be a bonus as the quilt had a big black stain on and some little specs that look like blood..would definitely go back in the hope these few thing would be sorted out and it would be ideal..if there is an actual cleaner I'd replace them without a doubt..

We are on dispute to get the money back but the dispute is not solved. I will bring the matter further to Trading Standard agency. We have all the video records. Did not have hot water at arrival. Had to vacate the property the next day after many promises to fix it. the property itself was so in bad condition, the oldest caravan that I've seen without any maintenance. Kitchenware was in the bad condition. The name of the caravan is misleading. Will never book a caravan with Bookings.com again

The caravan was filthy, mould on nets around windows, smelt damp, plates and bowls, cutlery not clean, absolutely awful!

The area/site

Unfortunately we found the caravan very unclean, there was food left on the floor and worktops. Mucky/stained bedding, very strong smell of ammonia as we opened the door, the smell was so strong in the double bedroom it was unable to be used during our stay. The shower was blocked up, after putting 2-3 lots of hot water down it a lot of hair and gunk came back up. walls were full of food and other unknown things. we had to go out and buy cleaning products and bedding for us to feel comfortable enough for us to stay. After mentioning all the above to the owners they got in touch with the company who cleans the caravan as they live 2 hours away, the cleaning company said that they had shampooed the carpet during the week which will make the smell of ammonia more prominent and should get better day by day. They were very upset to learn about all the issues above and they said they rely on the cleaning company to keep everything up to a respectable standard and pay a lot of money for them to do so. Personally I think they are been robbed by them. We left the caravan cleaner than what we found it. But overall it spoilt our stay which is unfortunate as I had personally gone the to recuperate from a surgery I’d had not even a week previously. In no way am I blaming the owners because I don’t think they had any idea of any of this, but I will definitely do a lot more research into any future bookings!
