Lovely property overlooking inlet.small beach just below most of day.plenty of restaurants cafes pubs shops nearby. Parking a problem we had to use facilities by the abbey and walk down many steps to property. We were able to park for unloading/loading.My main problem was the spiral staircase which I found difficult to negotiate. Whitby full of very friendly people and lots of lovely dogs.

At the time of booking the cottage was advertised as having 2 bedroom which slept 3 people,however when we arrived there was no access to the 3rd bedroom as the door was locked.We actually didn't need that space with it being just 2 of us but was just puzzled why it's been shown as a 2 bed cottage?... Needless to say the cottage was nice but couldn't help noticing the damp fusty smell mainly coming from the kitchen as we returned from a few hours out . The cottage is in a great spot in the heart of Whitby with the bonus of having the balcony where we spent most of our time watching the world go by.

Loved the location, especially sitting on the balcony watching activity on the harbour. Homely & impressively thought through with details such as the books being relevant to the location and a pair of binoculars conveniently placed near the balcony. Enjoyed being in the heart of the town which gave a base for walking around the area. Smooth booking and checking in process. Comfortable bed and good shower. Questions answered quickly by the host.

Great location, very comfy bed and excellent shower. Some concerns over how clean it was and disappointed that there was no welcome pack. Living area could do with less tables, constantly have to walk around furniture to get about.
