We stayed at Boka Blou for one week in February. We were two couples travelling together for our first (and hopefully not last) trip to Curaçao. We all loved it. The location of this home is great! The short walk to the pool and slightly longer walk to the beach was a pleasure as the path meanders through the beautiful gardens. We spent much of our time on the beautiful wrap around verandah where the breeze was perfect and the colourful birds were plentiful. Both main bedrooms had ensuites so comfortable for everyone. At the beach, the bar has daily happy hours which were fun. And the restaurant, Azzuro, has theme nights to create variety. It was all very tasty. The beach has lots of chairs and lots of trees for shade. We were able to snorkel right off the beach and watched the awesome sunset every night. We hadn’t pre-booked a rental car as we usually do not like to drive in a foreign country. We changed our mind upon seeing that the roads were good and the driving very “civil”. Should have listened to the advice of the owners who, by the way, were very accessible to answer our questions both before and after our arrival. Also very helpful was Desiree, the property manager. She was always reachable when we had questions . We were lucky to locate a rental car for the latter part of our week and were able to drive around the north point of the island where we stopped at a couple of nice beaches, in particular one where we were able to swim with sea turtles....lovely. It was a short drive to Willemstad which is a beautiful town with lots of eateries and shopping. It was also a short drive to the well stocked grocery store. So as mentioned, the location of this unit pretty perfect. We do hope to return someday soon and would definitely rent this villa again!

Vielen Dank für die tolle Unterkunft und den super Kontakt. Hier hat von A bis Z alles gepasst. Alle fragen wurden schnell beantwortet und sich der Kontakt vor Ort mit Desirée war super. Das Haus liegt in einem bewachten Resort und geografisch perfekt für den täglichen Spaziergang an den Pool und den (herrlichen) Strand . Vielen Dank für den unglaublichen Urlaub

Wij hebben met zes volwassenen een uitstekend verblijf gehad in dit appartement. De zee op loopafstand was heerlijk. De ontvangst was ook prima geregeld.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at Boka Blou Villa. Gerard was super easy to work with! The kitchen was well equipped and the property manager stocked the fridge with a welcoming bottle of wine and cold beers. Two of the bedrooms were identical in size and the smaller twin bedroom was perfect for our son. Each bedroom had a ceiling fan and wall air conditioning unit. The main living area also had a ceiling fan which kept that area quite comfortable. We spent the majority of our villa time on the large wrap-around veranda. It was a perfect spot for meals, lounging on the couches or napping on the chaise lounges. We did bring some insect repellent to help ward off the mosquitoes - this did the trick and no one was overly bothered. At the time of year we were visiting, we were able to watch the sunset right from the veranda! This unit is on the upper level and provided a nice breeze and views over to the golf course and lake with its pink flamingos. The villa is located within the gated resort community of Blue Bay Curacao Golf and Beach Resort. Its about a 5-10 minute walk down to the beach (you can also drive down if you are feeling lazy and use the parking lot). The beach is absolutely gorgeous, well equipped with sun loungers, shade canopies, 2 restaurants, a bar, dive shop and kids club. Snorkeling is fantastic and easy with the reef just off the beach. We brought our own gear but you can also rent or purchase from the dive shop. We ate dinner at Sunset Bar & Grill on "burger night" - make a reservation for a delicious tuna, shrimp, salmon or black angus patty grilled on a Green Egg Grill by the sea. It doesn't get any better than this! We found the breakfast to be quite expensive at Azzuro (which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily) and only ate there on our first morning. We ordered thin crust pizzas one night from Pictures Restaurant which is right off the beach parking lot and ate under the stars on the beach! For groceries, there is a supermarket about 5 minutes drive from the resort. The location was perfect for our trip. We explored the breathtaking West Coast beaches (30-45 minutes drive): Playa Kalki (gorgeous), Playa Piskado (sea turtles), Westpunt Baai (cliff jumping) and Groot Knip (clear blue water). We easily drove 15 minutes to historic Willemstad and Pietermaai for fine dining several nights. We spent a fun day at Mambo Beach/Sea Aquarium, about 20 minutes drive. Highly recommend staying at this villa!

The condo is nice and Mary did a great job of checking us in she communicated with us over WhatsApp which I had never used before but it worked out really well. We stayed during the wet season and this meant several mosquitos, there are no screens on the doors so we received several bites. Since the air conditioning is only in the bedrooms we were trying to find a way to cool down the main living space and limit out exposure, we could have worn bug repellant but we didn't want to stain the furniture. One other item that was different than other rentals I've stayed at: I received a form two weeks before we arrived asking me to wire the 7% Stay Tax that was noted at the very bottom of the listing and a request for our bank information to wire our deposit back. Since we were not comfortable with giving out our bank information Gerard agreed to take the 7% out of our deposit and return it through VRBO. He did this right after our stay so we had no issue with our final plan.

We were 6 people in all, 2 adult couples and 2 teenagers. We had a wonderful stay with great weather and good diving experiences. The villa was in a very good condition and functional for our purpose. In particular we enjoyed the very large veranda, that’s where we spent all our time. The environment was calm and quiet with great facilities close by including beach, restaurants, bars and the diving club. We got a very good contact with the owners of the villa and the communication went very smoothly both before and after the stay. The local representative was an absolute angel and she provided us with out of the ordinary good service, truly appreciated. We can definitely recommend this villa to others who are planning for a holiday stay in Curacao /Magnus and entourage

dit was de 3de keer op Blue bay en 2 keer in dit prachtige huis, aan de rand van " de Village" met een mooi uitzicht over park en golfbaan. de Villa is mooi ruim met 2 royale en 1 kleinere 2 persoons kamer. de grote kamers hebben beide mooi ruime badkamer. De Villa ligt op 200 meter van het strand en restaurant, en wil je tennissen of golven loop je 400 meter de andere kant op.. bij receptie krijg je bij aankomst schone strandhanddoeken die je dagelijks kunt wisselen. Kortom alles goed voor elkaar. Voor je boodschappen zit in binnen 5 minuten in supermarkt " Centrum" of je rijdt een 15 minuten naar de Albert Heijn in Willemstad. Lekker eten in de wijk Pietermaai, super leuke wijk met hele trendy gelegenheden. kortom genoten daar ! AANRADER

Elke keer als we hier verblijven, genieten we van het heerlijke huis met porch waar je s'avonds lekker in de wind zit. Op loopafstand van het mooiste strand van Curacao.
