Great location, appreciated owner advice, extremely friendly staff.

Feel the waves is situated directly at the beach of Arugam Bay. The surfing spots are near and reachable by Tuc Tuc or by foot. The crew and its Boss are very friendly and gave us the feeling of being part of a big family. The breakfast was very divers, we could have all we wanted. The rooms were very clean. On the beach sunbeds with shadings roof are available, which was very good to hide from the strong sun. Not many of the other properties have these sunbeds. Fowzis, the boss, offered surfing lessons for our son and his coaching helped our son very much to improve. Furthermore he was very helpful and organized a safari for us for example. So, as a summary, we would book Feel the waves again for our next holiday in Arugam Bay. Thanks to all the team!

We fall in love with this place ! The atmosphere is very friendly, you really feels yourself at home and on the waves with nature, ocean, surfing))) Staff is good, food is tasty, Fausi is very helpful and always nearby to assist. He also is a fantastic surf teacher ! I took two lessons with him and became a super surfer (as per him 😅) I really recommend him as a professional. I did my yoga in a special place. They organize lessons but I don't need it cause I'm a yoga teacher. A lot of participants were coming for these lessons from different hotels.

After a warm welcome, you were told everything you needed to know over a welcome drink, making your arrival simple and warm. The rooms are very well equipped and have everything you need. The highlight is the beach which is right next to the accommodation and gives you a perfect view and easy access to it. The staff and Fowzis are very welcoming and help with excursions, surfing and yoga lessons.

Everything was nice.

When you enter the property you can feel it has a special energy that creates a calming atmosphere and you suddenly feel at home. It is located at the beach on one side and the main road on the othet side. But you do not hear the noise from the street. The staff is very friendly and does everything to fulfill your wishes. You just have to ask. The rooms are clean and good equipped (locker!). The bed was very comfortable. Never had a more silent a/c on in Sri Lanka. I will definitely come back.

I came with my friend to spend just one night there and the owner and all od those people around were so nice that we stayed another 2 nights! This place is just amazing. Really friendly people working there and breakfast was delicious! The owner organized everyrhing for us! I had surf lesson as well with him and I literally could stand up on the second wave. Love it! This hotel has private beach so you dont have to be scared of locals. If I will come back to Sri Lanka I would definetelly come back here. Thank you for everyrhing !!!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location was perfect. The room was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you are in Arugam Bay, this is the place to stay. It exceeded my expectations. Good value and a memorable experience.

Nothing! We had the absolute best time. They even had a generator ready as the power went out everywhere for the day.

Very welcoming owner Fowzi and nice guys working there (e.g. Paul the story teller 😁). We felt pretty soon as part of it. You could easily join them for a drink and get to know them better. Thanks for that! Pretty Sri Lankan room with wooden furiture an A/C and very clean. Besides that the beach is awesome and clean. It is very comgortable lying there and listening to the sound of the sea (with shadow opportunities if you like). I would say this is the best place to enjoy the beach. Safari and elephant rock was cool. If you want to go out, drink or eat something you just leave the property, turn left and go along the main road. There are plenty of opportunities.

I was very pleased with the attitude of the staff and the owner, he organized surfing classes and a boat tour for us. When we felt unwell, the owner arranged for us to visit the doctor and personally accompanied us.

Breakfast was great and the cook was very accommodating. The location was ideal and also a safe swimming place. Also Arugam Bay is close by and some history is there if Vihara Maha Devi landing here with also historical statues on a beach location. The atmosphere was friendly and our Host was full of warmth and personality.

Only would have liked a hot water shower but with It being hot most of the year it wasn't an issue.

Very beautiful place on the beach. Good atmosphere. The people who work there are very nice and friendly. Good food. I only booked for 4 nights, but stayed longer because I had such a good time!

Very very nice team, very helpful. Great location. A bit rustic but good value for money. And a silent air con, the best of our whole trip, which is really a plus (couldn’t stand the noisy ones in the end...).

My wife and I had the most wonderful time in Arugam Bay Beach. Our room was situated about 20 meters from the beach front - Steakhouse has a great private area with umbrellas, canopies, hammocks and the like. We spent our days laying next to the beach, surfing, swimming and just resting. Walk 5min down the road for THE BEST SEAFOOD ever at Mr. Fisherman! Get the full platter! WOW! Then, rent a surfboard - just ask management - get a surfing lesson at Elephant Rock. I wanted to stay forever.
