Amazing Stay. Superb location. All facilities included.

We had a really great time at this cottage. It really did have everything we needed. We forgot our pillows though! So we went into Wiarton and were able to get some from the local dollar store across from the LCBO.
Kitchen was spacious and the owner provided many fans, we brought some thinking it would be hot without Air Conditioning but it was quite cool, lots of windows can be opened. Only complaint (which really isnt one) is the bunk beds are very squeeky whenever my boys tossed around, they ended up sleeping on the couches in the 2nd livingroom area and were very comfortable. The one bedroom with the bathroom attached was not comfortable at all. My husband and I took turns sleeping on the larger couch as it was just too tight and very wiggly. But waking up to the sunrise on the lake and the privacy was worth the bit of sore backs in the morning!
OH! And they had Mrs.Pacman arcade game which my kids LOVED! Internet was quick and easy, grocery store was 15 minutes away. We will definitely book next year and remember our own pillows! :)

Very well equipped, well prepared. Very nice cottage, lots of room. Location was great, waterfront was excellent. Exploring the Peninsula was fun for all. Seeing my old friends and family from my childhood on Balmy Beach was a perfect gift for my 8oth birthday. Couln't have been better.

Property was as advertised. We enjoyed a daily swim in Lake Huron with short day trips to nearby places, including the small town of Lion’s head and the Grotto. Our family of 9 cooked and shared meals together and found the kitchen and dining area adaquate. Sleeping arrangements worked out fine also.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property! The kids enjoyed playing in the water and on the rocks, and all the surrounding trees lend a sense of privacy. Nice appliances and comfortable furniture in the kitchen and living rooms. The owners provided some games and a variety of media options, as well as good WIFI, though we mostly spent our time outside. Owners were extremely responsive to any questions we had, and they very kindly provided community resources. I will note that no bedding or towels (other than Kitchen washcloths) are provided at this property, and this was not mentioned on the listing when we booked. We received an e-mail later informing us, but I really think that ought to be mentioned up-front, particularly as it seems to be a permanent decision and not COVID-related (based on further correspondence). They did provide hand soap, dish soap, sanitizer, toilet paper, and paper towels/napkins, as well as a decent array of spices and a first aid kit, which I thought was a kind addition.

This is our annual long weekend trip and we really enjoyed this cottage. Very clean and well set up place. We will definitely be renting here again.

The place was awesome, only wished the wifi password was posted somewhere. Could access wifi during our stay. Our own internet on our phone was not the best reception. Other than that, we loved the place and would definitely go back in the future.

Our first time renting a cottage and we were thoroughly pleased with the experience of staying at this gorgeous retreat. Family of 7 adults and one infant had a very comfortable stay. I was pleased and amazed at the view of the lake from the picture window in living room. Thoroughly enjoyed the warmth of both fire pits on the property. Everything that we needed was there and it is in close proximity to Lion's Head lighthouse and a great hike to the lookout point, Calm waters of Sandy Beach not far away for a nice cool off.

We loved the cottage and the grounds . Very child friendly. Our kids and grandkids had a great time kayaking even with the chill in the air. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and the grandkids want to know when we can come back ..Thanks again

We were told the kitchen is going to be replaced next year. They should have waited to rent it! Mold in cupboards, and I mean fuzzy black mold. When we told the owner, the reply was to throw out the moldy cutting board but no effort to come see the mold growing around the cutlery tray either. As the week went on, we got very rude responses from the owner. I would not recommend this place, even if the kitchen gets renovated. Oh and the beach is just some sand between the grass and the scrubby bushes, but it's not on the water!

We loved the location and the private beach. The house was spacious and perfect for our family of five (with lots of room to spare). The kids loved the bikes, kayaks and fire pits!

Very nice property well situated close to the water. Base facilities were clean but cottage required a thorough beginning of season cleanup (windows, dead bugs in stove fan,) Also we were supposed to have bicycles but all had flat tires, missing pedals, no air pump or tools so we did not use them. Overall satisfied with stay.
