Dieses kleine Landhaus in ländlicher Umgebung heißt dich in Cheltenham willkommen. Es gibt praktische Parkplätze auf dem Gelände, sodass du dein Auto stehen lassen und in 4 Minuten zu Winchcombe Folk and Police Museum oder in 10 Minuten zu Sudeley Castle laufen kannst.

We enjoyed our stay despite the weather. Top marks for cleanliness. Pretty well equipped. Most things worked but shower head needed replaced and toaster threw the electrics on the final morning. There were four of us and an eight month old and it was tight on room upstairs. I would say better for two or three people. Being picky, a few baking trays and salad bowl would have helped. Easy access to car at the rear which was really handy. We stayed here over 20 years ago and the cottages have been well maintained and updated on the whole but the setting and surroundings are now tatty compared to what they were and could do with a good gardener. Same to be said for Sudeley castle. We were so looking forward to visiting the castle and gardens and what a disappointment. The castle gardens were tatty and overgrown , odd looking elephants made from wood scattered throughout and bizarre civil war exhibition which seemed aimed at school trips. We wouldn’t visit the gardens again. There are plenty of beautiful gardens relatively close by. To end on a positive note, the White Hart really close to the cottages up castle street was great for Sunday lunch and fish and chips. Book though they get busy.

Queen Mary cottage was perfect for our family holiday with the rest of our party staying at Anne Boleyn cottage next door. A lovely welcome of tea, coffee, biscuits and the all important pint of milk. Well equipped although we could have done with a stairgate for the dog but we improvised with the clothes airer. Nice big courtyard for BBQs and some lovely dog walks straight from the front door. We all enjoyed visiting the castle too.

This is an ideal base for a visit to this beautiful part of the country. The cottage is very cosy, with everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. Slight downside is that the wifi is a little temperamental - ok for day to day use, but didn't make it easy to watch Netflix etc! Small price to pay for such lovely accommodation.
Winchcombe is a lovely town, with many independent stores and plenty of good restaurants/pubs/cafes to visit.
It is a short stroll across the fields to reach Sudeley Castle (although if it is wet, a walk through Winchcombe to get to the castle is not that much longer!), which is definitely worth a visit. The castle and grounds are superb, and the exhibitions are very informative.
The Cotswolds can get very busy in Summer, but at this time of year we didn't have any trouble parking in the tourist hot spots, and the weather was very pleasant to wander round.
A well enjoyed rest - hopefully we will be back

Stayed at Queens Cottage for a month in November 20 and most recently Queen Mary Cottage Jan/Feb 21. Queen Mary Cottage was very clean and comfortable, but very cold even with the heating on full blast (lots of draughts from windows and under doors). The fridge is very small (I have seen bigger mini bar fridges) and does not work as well as it should. Up stairs shower is in need of an upgrade as the water pressure is very weak and the shower door is in need of repair.
My booking was initially for 14 nights but I needed to extend for a further 2 nights, which I arranged with Bolthole Retreats. The lady dealing with my request was very unhelpful and rude and is in need of some customer service training. Boltholes retreats charged me a further £392.20 for 2 extra nights which I thought was excessive, I asked for a small discount which was denied.
