Great location, very clean apartment, friendly host.

The hospitality of the manager. Upon arrival, we found him waiting for us at the front of the property and helped us take all our boxes to the second floor where our apartment was located. After that, he gave us a kind of tutorial on how to navigate the city of Instanbul, offering us a map to guide us further. Throughout our stay, he was always on hand to assist with whatever information we needed. He also helped to arrange cheaper transportation to the airport.

Though very close to the popular Taksim Square, locating the property was a bit problematic for the airport taxi. However, constant communication with the manager helped resolve the difficulty.

Enver, the host, is a wealth of information on Istanbul, and so very kind. The location is convenient for everything. As a solo female, I felt safe day and night in and around the area. 1 min walk to several markets, food, ATMs, pharmacy…. Anything you need is right there! Daily housekeeping was wonderful, keeping me stocked in clean towels greatly appreciated. Loved having a washing machine- detergent provided too! Fridge was cold, shower was hot, what more could I ask for? There was a free breakfast available to me at the hotel next door, I’m sorry to say I never woke up early enough to try as reviews say it is quite good.

Great value for money. Enver, the owner, was always easy to reach on WhatsApp and happy to help with anything we needed. Really appreciated for his restaurant recommendations! The location is very convenient: Taksim Square, Taksim metro station and İstiklal Street are all about a five-minute walk away. The Havaist airport bus stop for Takisim is also about five minutes away on foot. The two queen-size beds were a real plus, and having a washing machine was useful. I also really appreciated that Enver provided a large bottle of drinking water, like the ones commonly used in Turkish homes. It was a thoughtful touch.

Breakfast at the hotel next door was quite basic, so we skipped it after the first day. There are plenty of places for breakfast around İstiklal Street and Cihangir, though, so this didn’t bother us. Light sleepers should bring earplugs. There’s a nightclub with live music across from the apartment (front side), and the music continued until around 3–4 a.m. each night. The bedrooms face the back, which helped, but on our first night the music was so loud that we could feel the vibrations in our bedroom. I am sure the situation would be similar if you stay around Taksim/ Istiklal Street, so you need to accept the fact that Istanbul is the city which never sleeps.
