The property is in a lovely location. When we arrived after travelling all day we had been given the wrong key code and couldnt access the property. A member of the vrbo team though was so helpful in sorting this out for us. Several things were broken and I think the property could do wiith some maintenance. Our wardrobe door wouldnt shut and a drawer in my beside table was broken. The basement where the sauna ,washing machine and tumble dryer was not a very nice area. In all we enjoyed our stay but think were charged far too much for the property. . We stayed in a property in Wales in May half term for about £800 which was immaculate and decorated to a very high standard.

With 11 people on ski holiday at Chalet Gretl. We had a great time and everythings was as advertised. The house was big enough with plenty of room for 11 people. The kitchen was applied with everything you need and there is also a washer and dryer. There is room for 3 cars to park in front of the house within the gate. The only thing that could be better is the cleaning outside the house. The waste from the former tenants was lying around and the neighbours were complaining. Over all we had a great time and the contact with the owner was good. We can recommend this to everybody with a large family.

Was ideal for a large and fairly loud group of friends. Dave the host did all he could to accommodate and enhance the trip. No issues at all

I never write reviews but our experience at this chalet deserves one. Rod, Katie and Gareth were AMAZING! We had 5 children all under the age of 4 and 5 adults so quite a crying, toy filled, in and out bunch. They were always there for anything we needed and even a bit above and beyond. They were always there chatting with us yet never in our way. The food was perfect. The three course meals served every night were excellent and we even asked to make less food as it was abundant. Katie even got up at 5am on our leaving morning to make sure we had breakfast when she could have just left food out!!!!! The chalet was very clean, very comfortable and in a good location. You could walk to the lift but it would be a bit far so a car is a must though the chalet has a van which I am sure they would have driven us. Anyone who has not been to this area I would say that the facilities in Schuttdorf, where this chalet really is, is much better than in proper Zell Am See (5 min drive) because of the amount of services in this town like food and clothes shopping, restaurants, etc but mainly for food and clothes. In summary, I believe the chalet made the difference in this trip as we felt very much at home and when your kids dont want to leave...that is a good sign. We will definitely consider this chalet and Zell Am See next year.
