The Brookside house was a very unique and fun place for us to stay, the record collection was a plus! It was easy to find and a great spot to get to Sunday River for skiers and walking trails for others. Lots of unique rooms and plenty of room for people to stay and hang out.

We had more than enough room for the 6 of us here. The young adults enjoyed the game room after a long day of skiing Convenient to Sunday River. I packed a case of water but did not need it thanks to the water cooler. Shut out to their amazing plow driver for not plowing me in while we were out in the other car

My friends and I really enjoyed the house and location. John was very responsive and the game room was a great touch!

This Locke Mills house is roomy and comfortable. Lots of entertainment options in the Game Room. Pet friendly to boot. Easy drive to Sunday River and reasonably close to Shawnee. Plenty of beds and plenty of places to sit both for eating and for socializing.Other than the house being old--something that I liked, but it's a matter of taste, the only downside was the tap water is very hard. The host keeps prenty of bottles water on hand. It was fine for washing and bathing, but we stuck to the bottled water for drinking and cooking. On the faring through unexpected events front, the area had a bad wind storm that knocked out power for a day (along with about 20,000 other houses in the area). Our host was very responsive, quickly bringing in a generator to make sure we stayed warm. Overall, this Locke Mills house was a very good value, and we all had a good time during our vaction.
