The house was exactly as described and the owners were very helpful and communicative. The home is very conveniently located close to the lake and also a short walk to town with bars, restaurants, and even a brewery. Would happily stay here again.

Our time here was wonderful. The hosts, Rob and Cathy were exceptional. They went way above and beyond to make sure our stay was great! Will certainly go back!

Your home was comfortable and had the necessities for a comfortable stay. Only challenge we had was realizing the door was the location for the lock to key in the entry which Cathy cleared up for us immediately.

This house was very clean. It had 4 bedrooms and 2 bathroomme. We would recommend it highly.

Algoma is a quiet town a short distance to Door county. The house is located with a wonderful bakery down the street and restaurants and shops to explore. Crescent Board Walk is a beautiful destination for a morning walk. The kitchen and dining room worked well for meals and playing games.

We had an amazing stay and the house was perfect. So much room, comfy beds, and great space for games and good conversations. Highly recommend this location.

Overall very good. However little disappointed - because there was no A/C. One BR with office desk got very warm - difficult to sleep.
The house is very well updated & nice. We like the rain shower in the Bath room.
Additionally all of us believe that the windows should be updated - because very hard to open & very old. The other improvement we can suggest is lockable bath room doors.
Beds were very good & comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked.
Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay. The house was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed being close to downtown Algoma and the beach boardwalk and enjoyed walking around.

This home was very comfortable. It was easy to get everywhere on foot and explore lovely Algoma. A very well-supplied kitchen made it feel like home. Fresh coffee beans! The four bedrooms are spacious and comfortably set up with a lot of privacy. The 2 bathrooms were also spacious and made it convenient. We especially enjoyed the cozy livingroom and watched movies together from the couch. We were disappointed that we could not change the checkout time...it is quite early to be ending a weekend visit. We intend to return next year. Thank you!

Beautiful home, absolutely immaculate, great location. Plenty of space for a family of six to spread out. The house and kitchen are very well equipped, we cooked quite a few meals at home. Loved the walk in shower for our tall boys and used washer and dryer quite a bit. Great in town location, very walkable to all things Algoma. Just a short drive to Door County and all it has to offer. Plenty to do in town too. Check out the bakery/ice cream shop just steps away from the house. Von Stiehl winery tour is worth it. The public beach is great, plenty of room to spread out, volleyball nets, boardwalk and lighting. Our boys played the disc golf course several times. Hotel Stebbens Friday night fish fry was yummy. The Salty Seagull mini golf course in Sturgeon Bay is fun.

We had four couples to our group that wanted to explore Door County. The house was very clean and fit all of us comfortably. We didn’t explore the neighborhood but from what we could see it was quiet and clean. We could have walked to town but we chose to drive and walk around. Algoma was having First Friday where some stores stayed open late and served snacks and beverages. Everyone was so nice and inviting. It was suggested we go to Skaliwags for dinner and It was a hit! We also had a wonderful bakery, North Water Bakery & Deli, just a hop away from the house. The drive to Sturgeon Bay is about 20 minutes. In all we were able to cover a lot of ground but had a quiet home to come back to. We would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely love spending time here, both in this town and especially in this house. I feel completely at home. The house is so very clean and comfortable, and I am picky. Algoma is a relaxing little town with plenty to do locally, as well as even more to do within a 30 minute drive: Door County (so much on both sides of the peninsula and in the middle) Green Bay, Sturgeon Bay, Manitowoc, one could just keep exploring many nearby towns, large and small, and enjoy Algoma as a home base. We came here last year, and returned again this year to see more and let our college-aged kids bring a friend each. Attention to little details, excellent communication, and all you need to relax right on premises show that Cathy and Rob care about their guests. The conversion of a laundry into a second bathroom, but now with with a stacked washer/dryer, upgraded since last year, shows they care about and reinvest in their home. The new shower is beautiful! Between the two bathrooms, plus large mirrors and storage in each bedroom, six people slept comfortably and had plenty of space in the mornings to dress. There is also plenty of space to relax built into the design of the home-something you don’t see anymore. It was laid out well and built quite sturdily. You don’t hear people in the main parts of the home fromthe bedrooms, which was nice in case anyone wanted to catch a nap on vacation or go to bed earlier than others. We all had such a good time, the only time the college-aged kids had their phones out was for pictures. They played games, took walks, played piano, sat in the sunroom and visited the bakery for coffee, sandwich and goodies . We are truly grateful that Cathy and Rob open their lovingly appointed home so that we could get away from the everyday busyness of our own to reconnect as a family and share love, laughter, peace and light.

Our group has been getting together for years for an annual summer trip and this year was wonderful in Door County. We loved the comfort of the home that was centrally located with easy access to fishing charter (we walked there) restaurants, and live music. Loved having the Catholic church across the street also on Sunday. We had a wonderful time.

Great experience-responsive owners. Loved the little touches they included. Clean and easy check out. Nice location, we were able to walk to the beach from the house. Bakery is 2 places over and an easy walk. Was very tasty. Also an easy drive to other places in door county. We made our way up to Sister Bay, Fish Creek and kayaking from Baileys Harbor. Great weekend wish we had more time to stay and do more.

This lovely home was prefect for our needs. We were looking for a place to retreat and just be. The home was exceptionally clean with plenty of space for the each of us to spread out a couple small projects we brought to do. Although it was past prime tourist season, there were enough restaurants open in town to easily get take-out meals. The North Water Bakery two doors down was great and we had tasty meals from Hotel Stebbins and Caffe Tlazo. We also enjoyed several walks by the lake and around town. Rob and Cathy checked in with us after the first night, and quickly got back to us with a question we had. We had a wonderful stay and would certainly go back.

Very nice place to stay
Everything about this rental was a good experience. The house was more than the two of us needed but we were limited with finding a place during the Door County Fall Festival in Sister Bay.
The care of the home was amazing with lots of extras and attention to details. Amazingly well furnished and clean. We particularly loved the sunroom area. We felt comfortable and at home with the place right off the bat and were sorry to leave.
We weren't sure about staying in Algoma for a Door County visit initially, but after the stay have changed our minds and look forward to another visit in this area. Algoma is a lot more than a sleepy coastal town. We found the beach, harbor, and town a delight to investigate and enjoy. Not only was there a great church nearby for services but around the corner is one of the best bakery's and attached restaurants that we've been to in a while (North Water Bakery & Deli). This bakery is amazing! We also had an enjoyable nice dinner at the Hotel Stebbins.
Going up to Door County was a breeze, but staying away from all that abundant tourist activity was also well appreciated.
This is a nice rental. The owners are equally nice and ensured we had an enjoyable visit.

The layout was very thoughtful for three adults. 'Sorry we didn't have time to visit "Smashed on the Rocks"! (We went to church across the street.) 😃
