Rivendell Hotel

We had a fantastic stay at Rivendell Hotel during our time in Kandy. The hotel is set up in the hills, giving beautiful views and surrounding greenery – especially lovely in the early morning and at sunset on the roof top swimming pool. The rooms were very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a nice view. The room had a bar fridge & tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and happy to assist with any requests transport or local recommendations.Breakfast was delicious with a good mix of Sri Lankan and Western options.The peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect place to unwind after exploring Kandy. It’s close enough to the city centre to visit places like the Temple of the Tooth, but far enough away to enjoy some quiet time. Highly recommend Rivendell Hotel for anyone visiting Kandy – great value, lovely staff, and stunning views!

Amazing stay! The hotel is peaceful with stunning mountain and pool views. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the food was delicious. The staff, especially Mr. Thilanka, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Truly a hidden gem near Kandy

Amazing stay at Rivendell Hotel! Spacious and clean rooms, breathtaking rooftop pool views, and truly outstanding hospitality from the staff — especially Mr. Thilanka. The Sky Restaurant serves delicious food with stunning views. A peaceful getaway just outside Kandy. Highly recommended!
