Villa Naomi is lovely, great modern apartments, lovely pool and area to relax. It's not too far out of Split centre and easy enough to travel in and out. Great facilities in the apartments, we had a lovely stay!

Check-in was a little tricky, we weren't given information in advance and had to phone to get the instructions which was a bit of a challenge.

Very friendly lots of space and they kindly allowed us yo leave our large bags while we went off hiking for a few days

Stairs were a bit tight carrying big bags and there was a bit of a sewage smell in the top flat

The apartment is huge, you'd be struggling to find anything this large for the price in Split. The facilities were good, the coffee machine worked well and there was a washing machine available, although we didn't use it. Large TV in the lounge too. It's quite close to local bus routes, which can get you into the centre within 10 minutes or so. The bed was also very large and comfy. Can't fault the cleanliness of the place either and the AC was really good. There is a lot of equipment in the gym and lots of games to play in the communal area if you're in a group which is really nice for an apartment like this.

We spotted a couple of issues with the apartment early on in our stay. The room smelled of cigarette smoke, particularly in the lounge area and we couldn't get rid of it during the stay. There is an air freshener in the lounge and scented candles throughout, but the air freshener needed a refill and there was no lighter for the candles that we could find. We asked for them over text and we never received either. We're not sure if this was caused by someone smoking there previously or smoke from the pool area coming in (the deluxe apartment is on the ground floor). It may have been fine to smoke in there, but being from the UK, where smoking is becoming less common, especially in buildings, it wasn't the most pleasant way to enter the apartment everyday. The main shower head was also faulty and unusable. We reported this on the 2nd day after arriving late at night on the first and it was only replaced on our 5th (out of 7). There was a smaller shower head that we were fine using but it was fixed to the wall at a fairly low point, meaning I (5ft 11inch) had to stoop a lot to use it. But it was good of them to replace it at all during our stay. The shower also leaks from the seals at the bottom, which was worse when using the smaller shower head but wasn't as bad once the new main one was fitted. The curtains in the bedroom are also slightly too small for the window, meaning there was a gap at either side (one long rail with a pair of curtains) which lets light in and may allow someone to see in from the outside. Being on the ground floor this isn't great for privacy, but it wasn't terrible. A couple of previous reviews also mention this. We also had a few ants in the apartment but nothing major, mostly around the bedroom door and entrance, but I guess this is always a risk when being on the ground floor. One thing we also found a bit strange was that the communal area where the gym and games are can be accessed from the apartment bathroom.

There was lots of space. The lovely couple who waited up for us were very nice. Air con was good.

The area had nothing around and you couldn’t even get a coffee nearby. The room smelt of cigarettes and made our washing and clothes smell bad. The apartment also had strange smells in the kitchen. The shower was so blocked it flooded the bathroom and we had to shower in bursts of 30 seconds so we didn’t flood the bathroom. The towels were thin and old. There was no where to relax outside. The chlorine in the pool was so strong it was bad: The apartment was over priced and there was no where to go and so we spent a fortune on taxis. The host was not there and didn’t contact us or help us with advice about the area. There was no iron- I asked to borrow one from the lovely lady who was looking after the place but she stood and watched me iron. For the price of the stay it was not a good standard. Very disappointed and upset we paid so much for a low standard. Would not recommend and it’s a shame as Croatia is a beautiful place that we love. I feel like I would like some money back at over 200€ is ridiculous. The good reviews are misleading!
