I had a few issues during the stay: The first issue occurred when I didn’t receive any information about keys prior to arrival. I called the contact who stated she forgot. She gave me a number to a lock box, which didn’t work. After a second call and a second lock box code, the keys were available. The next issue is related to cleanliness. The house had both German cockroaches on the main level & odorous house ants on the second level. Both are attracted to food and filth in homes; I know this because I am an PhD entomologist. Adjacent, the bed linens looked like they had not been freshly washed and the pillows were stained and worn. I didn’t bring any of these sanitation issues back to the property contact because she stated during my call to her on Day 1 that she was on pain medication from an accident, struggling with communication, & I did not have a secondary contact for the property. Related to location, this neighborhood does not have beach access via golf cart. Your only option is to walk over the foot bridge or trailer down 87 (golf carts are not allowed on 87).

Just as advertised! What a view of the beach! The house was clean and well taken care of! Renee was very cordial and gracious. We enjoyed meeting on the covered deck to play after a day at the beach! What great family memories!

Beautiful home in a great location, lovely decks to watch the people and listen to the sounds of the ocean. Easy to walk to the beach and play. We had a wonderful stay and would re-book this home again. We did extend our stay an additional couple of nights because it was the perfect place to stay and enjoy everything the area has to offer!

Our family of 9 stayed here Spring Break weekend 2023. Kids (4 plus 3 friends) were 17-23. Me and my husband are 45 & 43. The neighborhood was quiet and the beach was vibing!!! Us old folks watched fun beach from the quiet beach house porch while our kids were on beach in middle of all the fun. There was many families on the beach having so much fun! Rented golf carts were the biggest hit for activities! Beach house is clean and well stocked. It was beautiful! Loved the decor. Our family had a wonderful time and would return.

Beautiful place! Sit and stare at the Gulf all day long. Dogs loved it! Great food in area ... especially seafood. Nice little golf course right down the road. Great host!

We loved this beach house! It's perfect for a girls trip since there are plenty of beds for everyone. We liked that there weren't bunk rooms that made us feel like we were staying in a kids room. The beach is fabulous. Beautiful wide brackets with pretty sand dunes. We found lots of shells at low tide. We loved that it's not crowded like Galveston. Just know that trips into Galveston can take a while by ferry. I would highly recommend this house as a getaway!

We loved everything about this property from the home itself to its location to the beach. The home was equipped with everything we needed to be comfortable and prepare meals for our several days stay. We love to that there was enough space for us to have a boy's room a girl's room and 2 adult rooms We love that there was enough space for us to have a boy's room, a girl's room and 2 parent rooms for our large family's stay.

This was our third stay at the Salty Lime. The house is perfect for large and small groups, everything you need is provided in the well stocked kitchen. The views from the decks are breathtaking. The gated lower deck allows for the family dog to enjoy the ocean air safely with no worries of them taking off after the occasional rabbit/wildlife which may pass in the yard. Renee is wonderful with any questions you may have. The salty lime is indeed beginning to feel like home, we will be back soon.

Our family Thanksgiving at the Salty Lime was fun, comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed by all. We had everything we needed! Even nasty weather didn’t dim our holiday. The beach is the cure for what ails you!!!

House was very nice and clean with an incredible view of the ocean. We had family from as far as Idaho join and having a place on the beach was perfect for our gathering. I love Crystal Beach because its never as crowded as Galveston and you can still drive on the beach. Seems like the people that visit there are very down to earth and just having a peaceful and fun getaway. Its one of my favorite places to visit.

Everything was there for a relaxing, memorable experience. Three generations of the females of the family spent a fun, carefree time together playing games, playing in the ocean, making crafts, reading books, taking photos and lounging on the verandas to our hearts content. We even managed a shopping trip in Galveston. Would definitely enjoy a return trip. Thanks so much for helping us make great memories.

My family went on a week vacation and stayed in this jewel. Stores and restaurants are close. It was wonderful to go out and drink coffee early in the mornings and watch the sunset. Beach was not crowded at all, and no loud party’s. Property manager was very helpful and answered all questions. Kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils and cookware. Can’t go wrong with this house.

Our family has stayed at A Salty Lime multiple times and it's always amazing! The views and easy access to the beach can't be beat and the house is spacious and comfortable for a big group! We can't wait to be back!

Our stay at the Salty Lime was fantastic! The location is excellent and the house is the best we’ve had in our beach trips. Spacious, clean and has everything you need. Renee is incredibly prompt in responding to questions and the Stingaree restaurant is a must! Thank you we will definitely be back!

Salty Lime is as advertised -- a great house in a great location. The views from both decks are awesome. The house was sparkling clean upon arrival, well equppied with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The proximity to the beach is great, as close to the water as you can get on Crystal Beach. The house is spacious, we had eight adults and never felt crowded. There were a couple of downsides that everyone should be aware of before renting. There is no kitchen/dining table. Small, uncomfortable wooden stools around an island in the kitchen is the only place to eat or gather. Playing games was awkward due to the layout and the stools were not really good for long-term sitting. The house is in a neighborhood which has no vehicle or golf cart access to the beach, only walkovers. This means to drive to the beach by either car or golf cart you must drive out of the neighborhood to the highway into the next neighborhood to access the beach. In our golf cart we had to take a very rough trail right next to the highway which is a little unsettling due to the highway traffic. The house is showing some age and could do with some minor work. The gate at the top of the stairs drags and is very difficult to open and is gouging out the deck where it rolls, and from the deep mark it's been this way for some time.The kitchen sink is almost impossible to shut comepletely off and the front door lock is defective and hard to operate. All in all a very nice house and we had a wonderful time as a family, but at this price point the expectation is for the small things to be taken care of more promptly. Our hostess was most responsive and easy to work with and we made great memories on a special vacation.

Stayed for three nights. The property was very clean and well equipped, kitchen had all the pots and pans and utensils. There were a lot of clean towels, there were even some board games and a barbecue grill. The view of the beach was lovely. Property manager responded immediately to our query. Highly recommend this property and will very likely stay there again

This property was perfect for a friends get away. We had 4 couples with us and the house was more than big enough. Everything we needed was there and Renee was amazing to deal with. I highly recommend this rental.
