The property was very unique and memorable. Richard, our host, was exceptional in ensuring we had everything covered. The location is great for easy access to downtown Santa Fe. The pool and view are out of this world! Very enjoyable stop on our road trip of the west.

The Rass Mandal house is a fantastic place to spend quality time with your friends. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our time both inside the house and hiking in the nearby mountain trails. The photos and description of the house matched perfectly with what we experienced in person. The pool, sauna, and hot tub are well maintained providing a really nice luxury for everyone to enjoy. The host of the house does an incredible job communicating about the house, amenities, check in and check out, and any additional services you may want to take advantage of. We had a chef come to the house and cook dinner for us one evening and the kitchen and dining room were great spaces to host such an event. I highly recommend staying at the Rass Mandal house if you are in the Santa Fe area. My friends and I didn't take advantage of the yoga pavilion, but for those interested, it is an amazing space and amenity to the overall grounds of the house.

Wonderful time at Rass Mandal. A fantastic property, great views, great location, so much to see. Listing and description are accurate, with wonderful outdoor spaces. Wish it was pool season-we may book in summer to fully enjoy pool and deck and firepit and venture onto the roof! Richard is great host and available to assist if need. Place was extremely well stocked, kitchen had more than needed, Perfect for cooking our thanksgiving meal. Fireplace in living room was great and I now want a fireplace in my kitchen like there is here!! Our family of 8 had plenty of space and enjoyed our stay at Rass Mandal, thank you!

We had a group of eight different business owners stay Rass Mandal for three nights. The grounds and home are perfect for a large gathering, even if it did surprisingly snow about 6" during our stay. We have been going on retreats all over the country every year since 2014 and this was one of the highest rated locations to date. Richard was great on his communication on everything from the check-in process to what to expect with the road conditions. I would recommend Rass Mandal to anyone and look forward to visiting again at a different time of the year to take advantage of the grounds and pool. We rented the house to celebrate my daughters 30th birthday. Staying at Rass Mandal made it that much more special. The house, the property and views are amazing. I never thought staying in a house could be so much fun! Every room in this house is a experience of its own. We all literally loved just being at the house and and didn’t want to leave to go out.

Spent time at Rass Mandel as a reunion with college friends-the property is lovely, the facility very well appointed, clean, neat, everything you need to eat in or dine out in the lovely Santa Fa—- Highly recommend it for a truly wonderful experience.

Our stay at Rass Mandal was nothing short of dreamy and amazing. From the moment we walked in the doors the energy and light of the estate was incredible. Richard greeted us with kindness and lovely knowledge of the house and area. Every need you have is met at Rass Mandal: from the most exquisite architecture to comfortable beds to gorgeous, yet welcoming decore. Up to date technology all over the house and in each bedroom. Thoughtfuless of every detail was apparent. Three days wasn't enough and it is 100% somewhere I will return again. I will keep dreaming of Rass Mandal now that it has been a reality!

Words cannot describe this magnificent house! You have to experience the pleasure of staying here. The first moment you drive in, your eyes cannot take it all in. The vast landscape has beautiful statues, chimes, and art objects. It even has a wooden swing set for the kids. They loved it! The views are spectacular! The house itself is a masterpiece. So many art pieces and paintings. The rooms are all spacious. Comfortable beds and furniture . We all enjoyed the back area with the great heated swimming pool, hot tub, fire pit and incredible views. Richard, the owner, was very welcoming and took care of every detail . We will definitely return!

After a whirlwind wedding in Santa Fe we came up to Rass Mandal for a peaceful relaxing family vacation. My husband, daughter and granddaughter, son and partner and the newly married couple. Thanks to the generosity of the host Richard many kitchen items were available for us to use. Coffee sugar spices ketchup (we added to the collection!!). We grilled and cooked, ate and drank, and swam in the beautiful pool. We walked up the hill to watch the sunset and also from the roof deck. We wandered the property and saw many lizards and even a baby deer. Watching the birds eating from the kitchen table was a highlight. The house is amazing and there are many places to hang out inside and out. Can’t wait to come back again. Thanks Richard

the property is more like a museum than a comfortable place to stay. the upholstered furniture is faded and worn , the bed linens are worn and stretched not crisp and comfortable . hand rails are needed for all the stairs both inside and out I would not recommend it as a peaceful vacation place.

Everything was so nice and sooo easy. Easy to get to Ski Santa Fe and east to get to town.

This will be the most unique house you will ever stay at . I have vacationed in houses all over the world and this property has a PERFECT blend of comfort, style and uniqueness. The property owner lives at this location most of the year so you are actually staying at his well appointed home throughout your vacation, and feel lucky to be doing so. Every room had its own unique style and design that even by the end of the week, I was still discovering nooks and crannies of comfortable space in which to sit and relax and enjoy the view. I would find a new place to sit and talk with my family everyday. Great for hiking. Perfect for yoga groups with its own yoga studio. And again , a uniqueness not to be denied in the 100+ houses I have stayed at. I have no vested interest in the home or owner, this is just how I really feel about this house. When again in Santa Fe, we will stay here.

Rass Mandal is a truly magical palace providing comfort and joy beyond expectation for us. The house provided an incredible setting for a gathering of close friends to rejuvenate and celebrate my landmark birthday. The radiant flooring and the fireplaces created a created a warm and cozy environment for cold winter nights. I never knew a fireplace in the kitchen was missing from my life! The house is full of personal treasures that were so fun to discover, experience and appreciate. These precious objects left in the house to be enjoyed brought a significant spiritual element to our stay. Richard is an incredible host who personally greets you to show you around the house and instantly makes you feel at home. He is also extremely responsive should any questions arise during your stay. He leaves an impression on you and you'll want to invite him to dinner one night so he'll tell you ALL the stories! Richard, this is your invite for our next stay! They say God is in the details and Richard thought of ALL the things. Attention paid to small things has big rewards. Watching the birds eat from the feeder while you're sipping your coffee in the breakfast nook. The spectacular light show while you're star gazing on the grounds late at night. The swing set in the front yard for every kid at heart! I particularly loved the presence of female energy every which way you looked. I don't think I ever felt so represented in ANY place I've ever stayed. We absolutely LOVED our stay at Rass Mandal and already dream of returning to experience it in another season. Yes, we visited Santa Fe... but Rass Mandal was the true star of our holiday trip. It is truly a special destination, with a superlative host to match. Richard is thoughtful, attentive (after an overnight snowstorm, shovelers were sent up before I'd made it through my morning coffee!), thorough, and available whenever you need him but scarce when not. He does an excellent job of making you feel welcomed to and at home in this luxury property. The home is gorgeous and in excellent condition with special, artistic touches too numerous to list. The kitchen is kitted out with everything you'd need and luxury brands (plenty of Le Creuset). Toiletries are top-notch. There's radiant floor heating, so even in the winter it's a cozy hideaway. The sound system throughout the home is excellent. It's very private. The property has much to explore with a beautiful swingset for kids, myriad hidden "treasures," and several great hikes nearby. I can go on and on. Definitely explore the property's website and know that all is even better than pictured. A few things to note: the road up can get slippery in the winter months. If you don't have an all-wheel vehicle, Richard will graciously offer to ferry you back and forth. There are many precious items in the home at varying heights- my kids are a little older, but it would've been difficult traveling with true toddlers intent on exploring (or I would've had to have been watching them every second). If you have the opportunity to stay at Rass Mandal, don't pass it up- being in this magical place was truly a wonderful way to start the new year!

My business group stayed at Rass Mandal for a few days. All of us loved it. It's an exquisitely appointed, thoughtfully-provisioned property that sits atop a mountain ridge revealing amazing views of the valley. The pictures don't completely reveal how special this property is. We all felt very relaxed staying at Rass Mandal. Richard and Moe were very communicative and attentive to our needs. The house comes with a well-written manual that pretty much answered any questions we had. We made nightly use of the hot tub and even used the sauna on a few occasions. We enjoyed checking email and playing cards on the expansive deck, which warmed up nicely in the New Mexico sun (even in late October with temps in the 50s). None of us had any complaints or suggestions for improvement. It was a 10 out 10!

We had a group of 10 moms who traveled to Santa Fe for weekend of fun and relaxation. We LOVED staying at the Rass Mandal. The property is beautiful both inside and out - there’s so much to look at! We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna, and a couple even jumped into the pool even though it wasn’t heated at the time. We had plenty of space for all of us and the eat-in kitchen proved to be a great space that allowed us to spend time together while preparing meals. While the location isn’t right downtown, it was still easy to get to shops and we enjoyed the more private setting. Richard was helpful and gracious. We would definitely love to come back!

From the start, I knew this vacation rental was going to be special, and indeed it was! Richard was very friendly and responsive to our questions and needs. He gave us a tour of the property upon arrival and explained how things worked, etc. We could not have asked for a better host! The home sits in the hills on a private, paved road and has fantastic views. It is very clean, quiet and peaceful- just what our weary souls needed. The pool was a wonderful bonus after coming home from our excursions into town and surrounding areas. The kitchen is top notch and had everything we needed in terms of cookware, dishes, and utensils. When we decided not to cook, many wonderful restaurants in Sante Fe were a quick drive away. We loved watching the birds on the feeder right outside the window of the dining nook, and the yard/property is filled with interesting statues, outdoor art, and chimes. We highly recommend this property!

This property is magic! The beautiful collection of art from around the world, the colors, the land, the views everything was lovely. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved spending time in the yoga pavilion as a group. There was plenty of space the spread out and find silence and plenty of space to gather as a group. If you are lucky enough to have an opportunity to spend time at Rass Mandal jump at the chance. Richard was very communicative. We can’t wait to go back!

The property was as depicted and worked well fora group of women celebrating a birthday. Owner was very responsive and was gracious enough to provide excellent recommendations as to restaurants. The only suggestion I would make is if the owner needs to visit the property while guests are there a simple text to advise would be appreciated!!!
