Alex Hotel

The place was exactly as described. Spacious rooms, charming with cute red curtains. The owner of the place really put her heart into it and we felt it when we met her the second day of our stay. We were traveling with our 9yo daughter and the room that we booked was just the perfect size for the 3 of us with an extra bed. We’ve also tried the restaurant and had our last evening meal at the hotel. 👍 I totally recommend this place.

There is nothing that we didn’t like. However if you are planning to be completely in the center of Yerevan keep in mind that you’ll have to walk around 20-25minutes to reach the heart of the city. This wasn’t a big issue for us as it was very convenient to book a taxi anywhere in Yerevan using the local apps.

Breakfast was good, exceeded our expectations.

I stayed for three nights at Alex Hotel in Yerevan. The hotel was very well managed, the staff were friendly, and the rooms were extremely clean and tidy. Overall, I was very satisfied with the stay. The only negative point I noticed was at breakfast. The person in charge of serving breakfast was not very polite and sometimes seemed reluctant to provide fresh items. For example, bread was served in a very limited way, watermelon from previous days was placed on the table, and the buffet was not refreshed daily. Also, when asking for small changes (like fried eggs instead of boiled), the response was not very pleasant. Another point is that after breakfast you have to take your own plates back to the kitchen, which I found unusual for a hotel of this level. Except for this breakfast issue, everything else about the hotel was excellent.
