I've been bringing my family here every summer for over 10 years. We always stay at the Screened Inn with Mermaid Cottages. Its been great every time. The street is quiet and the beach usually not very crowded.

Thank you so much for a wonderful month long stay at your beautiful cottage. We were impressed by the service of the Mermaids and the perfect location of the cottage. We loved walking through the “secret passage “ to the beach each day. We loved watching the summer storms from the front porch. Great linens, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and furnishings and a super outdoor shower. We hope to come back next summer.

We have used Mermaid Cottages for several years for our girls beach trip. This is the first year we stayed on this side of the cottage because we increased our party and needed a larger place. Screened Inn didn’t disappoint! It’s so charming, filled with everything you need. We loved spending time on the beautiful screened porch in the evenings. Tammy and Diane were amazing as they always are. We can’t wait to return next year! So close to North Beach, my favorite part of Tybee.

I was one of four high school classmates from the Class of 1976!!! We absolutely loved our time at the Screened Inn. It is such cozy cottage and the outdoor shower was a bonus! Lots of stories were shared on the Screened Porch. It was simply perfect for us. Would highly recommend this property!!! PS. I loved the music upon arrival. Very nice touch!!! The only suggestion I would make is to provide beach chairs. Packing beach chairs takes up a lot of space when traveling.

We love this cottage and its location! Perfect for porch sitting, walking or biking to the lighthouse, farmer’s market, etc. Quick walk to the beach for spectacular sunrises, dolphin spotting, and watching the ships heading to port. Mermaid staff (Tammy) very helpful and responsive to our needs.

The house was well appointed and in an amazing location both on the island and to get to Savannah and surrounding attractions. The private beach access was amazing. The house was comfortable and we appreciated the historical significance of the property. I could not believe that we had neighbors, it was so quiet. A king size bed in the master would have made for a better night sleep, but the property is pretty much perfect. We would love to visit again! Thank you!

Loved the history behind this Mermaid cottage! The location is perfect, especially for families. Easy and quick access to the beach in 2 different areas. Walking track/Frisbee golf literally right in the backyard was great too! Love how attentive Mermaid Co. is, wouldn't stay with anyone else!

This was a precious property that reminded me of going to my grandmothers home. It was beautifully restored and full of character. Close to park, beach, bingo 😂 and could walk to the Post Theatre. We will be back!

This was our first time at the screened inn but we stayed at the enlisted men’s mess hall side last year. We absolutely love the cottage and it’s location. Everything about it has been nothing but flawless each time.

The cottage was the perfect spot for our girls weekend! The space fit 6 ladies comfortably and had a relaxing vibe, so it was Ana amazing vacation spot. It was closer to the beach than we thought, and short walking distance from fun restaurants and bars. Communication with the host was very consistent and easy, so there were no surprises. We will be staying here again!

The rooms were nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with necessary tools and dishes. It was great to have a washing machine. The layout was nice for two families staying together because there are many sections that can be closed off. On the negative side, I found a live baby cockroach and a dead adult. One of the bed mattresses is sagging to the floor. The management company was very responsive and proactive. If they remove the bugs this rental will be a great value for your family vacation.

Wonderful location, much larger than it looks in the photographs and a beautiful home. We did have some issues and had to call management due to the floor being dirty. It was quickly resolved. I would also not advise a larger car due to tight parking, we have a truck and I had to hold up tree branches every time we exited/entered as they would scrape the top of our Ford F150.
