The gardens were beautiful with lots of fruit trees and flowering plants. The trolley and local bus stopped at the road in front of this villa which was very convenient. Ability to make your own meals and do laundry was lovely. The villa itself was authentically Portuguese with an eclectic mix of art.

Truly one of the best stays we have experienced abroad. Casa da Rampa is stocked with beautiful art and personal touches, it’s easy to see that this house has been loved and well-cared for. It was plenty big for our two families (4 adults, 5 children). The kids loved swimming and feeding the chickens and exploring the gardens. The adults enjoyed eating dinner on the outdoor patio and lounging by the pool. It’s a very convenient stay for everything to see in Sintra. Also a short drive to the beautiful coastline and most western point of continental Europe. The kitchen was decently stocked and it was so helpful to have the washer/dryer. Sometimes if multiple people were showering the water wouldn’t stay hot, but taking turns worked great. There were thorough instructions in the house on how to use everything. The only bummer was that the historic tram wasn’t running while we were there. But we did see it come by one time as the workers were clearing the track for the season. Such a magical experience!
