The location was great. We arrived in a major hail storm so made it hard to unpack but that’s Mother Nature. However because we had to stay indoors we wanted to watch some TV but for the love of It we could not get the TV to work! Sent a detailed text to the number provided for help if needed the reply we got back was short, curt almost rude and no help! Sent another text for help and got no reply! So no TV for our whole stay and it rained and hailed 2 of our 3 days.

I did not like the text reply I got asking for help as stated above. Also when we arrived someone had oiled the hard wood floor, there was so much oil we about fell on our faces! Also smelled so strong, like being asphyxiated with the fumes, it even kept us awake the first night because the smell was so strong. I had to take paper towels and wipe up all the oil to get rid of slick, stinky floors. Can’t imagine what all that oil does to carpets. Several things were is disrepair ( TP holder, TV, windows unopenable ) every window was full of dead bugs and spider webs.

The smell of mothballs was overwhelming. When you would come in from outside it would just hit you in the face. It gave me a non stop headache for the entire time I was in the house. And I normally do not get headaches. The smell in the basement was exceptionally strong, I think the furnace was blowing it all through the house. Even my towels in the upstairs bedroom smelled of mothballs. Kind of ruined what otherwise would have been an exceptional experience.
