Need to keep the room ventilated and small repairs needed. Missing some fruit in the breakfast.

it was a little confusing as to how to get into town, and the pool wasn’t heated more than just the sun (still very pleasant in 65° F weather!

Breakfast was perfect - food was restocked every day. Location was brilliant but a car is definitely needed! Host was very helpful, friendly and always available to answer questions!

Everything was great! When we arrived Mrs. Dora (the owner of the villa) met us very warmly and friendly, a really kind woman. 🏡 About the suite: everything was perfect! It was cleaned daily, changed the towels and they brought local organic products for the bathroom. ☕️ About breakfast: we found a lot of products in the fridge - milk, eggs, cheese, ham, cereals, marmalade, butter, bread, orange juice, coffee capsules, a bottle of white wine (it was a very nice gesture), so you can cook breakfast according to your own taste. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need.
For some reasons we were unable to pay with a credit card. Aris (the person in charge at Smile Reservations) showed flexibility and responsiveness, in such a way as not to create problems or to spoil our vacation. 🙏🏼☺️ Thank you very much!
💦 Jacuzzi is like the cherry on the cake, the water is warm and clean. It’s ideal for two persons. In the morning when we were going to check out, we found a package at the door, there was a porcelain souvenir, a pleasant memory of Santorini and the beautiful people from here. 💙🤍🇬🇷

A gorgeous unique stay. We were met upon arrival by a local lady who did everything she could (despite not knowing much English) to help us settle in, she brought us some pasta and bread for lunch after arriving from the airport and upon leaving bought my sons a little gift each. The pool is lovely and the terrace area is generous size. Great range of food for breakfast was provided. Short walk (10 mins) into Mesaria where you'll find tavernas and groceries and you can catch the bus into Thira and Oia for only €2.

Great size villas, was very clean and well maintained. Cleaned daily at around 12pm including dishes etc.
Great tips from manager Aris, he also provided a taxi driver contact and booking of ATV. Taxi from port to here is 35 eur and airport is 25 eur. We did not book atv or car.
No in house laundry machine as stated but the owner did our laundry
Breakfast is not served, it is a breakfast grocery shop placed in fridge - make sure to reach out to villa before hand to specify any allergens/ vegeterian/ vegan etc.
If not hiring a car/atv, it is a ten mins walk to the nearest bus stop which is not ideal in the heat. From the villa go right, and right again on the small path instead of using google maps as advised by Aris. Bus route is the Perissa bus from/ to fire, not the express. Around one bus every hour, bus stop has a shade.
Our sunset tour minivan was unable to pick/ drop us from the villa due to the narrow road, and had to walk to the near by bus stop instead. Some large taxis will also refuse to drop/ pick right outside the villa.

We enjoyed our stay at the villa. It is in Vothonas, which is a bit far from the most of the tourist places, but for a family it is perfect, quite secluded place. The owners of the villa are sweet olderly couple. They are so kind, especially, the granny, so sweet. She came with sweets and souvenirs while we were staying there, and got as well freshly picked fruits from them. I appreciate this kindness. The owners don't speak any English but if people want to communicate they don't need a language. I definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful property in a very nice and quiet location. Apartment was cleaned daily and had all the necesities. If you run out of something at some point (like I’ve seen mentioned in other reviews), just ask. Everybody was very nice and extremely helpful. Due to the hot weather, we needed help with a car rental on a short notice and in a couple hours with Aris’ help we had a very nice car delivered at the property doors. The owners who also live there don’t speak English, but it’s a good chance to learn a few Greek words for common things. There are 2 supermarkets/ATMs etc not very far, although it’s a bit of a walk to the main road where they are located, so especially in the middle of summer would say it’s better to rent something for moving around, even more so as the main attractions are outside Mesaria (which is centrally located, so 10-15 kms at most in any direction, the island is not very large).

Aris was amazing. He was patient, quick to answer our questions and genuinely a kind person. The old lady there was so hospitable too. Got us cucumbers from her garden and even left us a souvenir on the table outside. We ate the cucumber in our tub 😂 Small attentions that make all the difference :-)
The only thing I liked less was that the bus drops us at about 10 min walk from the house so if you can afford a quad for your stay just go for it or be ready to walk 🙈

Loved this place, nice peaceful, very clean, helpful lady owner so lovely, her staff are amazing go out of their way to help. Give alot of helpful tourist info. Nothing was too much trouble, all we needed to do is text, ring or ask. So beautiful cave look and feeling.

It was the best place I have ever stayed in! It was very cozy and completely ready for us with an amazing breakfast. The pool was amazing and so relaxing and the staff was super friendly!

The location is really good, it is calm and allows to reach all the interesting spots of the island in few minutes. The pool and the terrace outside are nice.

We hadn't been away for two years and had the best 10 days. It was a lovely location and good value for money.
Stoa Caves just needs a good handy man and a bit of love and it would be perfect!
The drawers don't open so couldn't put our things away. And the top of chest of drawers is damaged too
The sheets don't fit the bed,so as soon as you sleep on them they ping off. There was no mattress protector so you are sleeping on the mattress which feels a bit unhygienic
Breakfast isn't included. We had yogurts one day and then never again. Eggs weren't replenished until the box is finished so some days you only have one egg each. We were given two loafs of bread one at the beginning and one half way through. I don't think you can say breakfast is provided.
The TV is on arm that isn't strong enough so the TV is falling to the side.
They don't clean the little pools (they put a tablet in the filter but that isnt really cleaning) - its gets debris you need to fish out.
Wifi is so slow/doesn't really work
We did have a few questions and the host were very slow in getting back to us, we walked to local restaurants to use their wifi and locals helped with our questions

Lovely cosy appartement with plunge pool. Friendly host Aris and amazing owner Dora. Good location at the heart of the island. Easy acces to beaches and old towns. Highly recommended!

It’s a really lovely and confortable apartment, built in a white cave. The host is very kind and supportive, and the old woman who take care of the apartments is absolutely cute, she brings us some local desserts and give us a souvenir from the island. I recommend it 100%

The jacuzzi is wonderful, the outdoor spaces with a sunbed and an upstairs terrace were lovely and the interior of the cave house with twisting walls was very cool. The location is great in a very quiet and authentic Greek village which functions as a safe haven from the hectic nature of Fira and Oia. The bus stop is close by and it's possible to get to Kamari Black Beach in about 45 minutes on foot. Aristotelis was an awesome host and always on point with any questions that arose. Highly recommended!

When we arrived (too early ;-)), it was possible to leave our luggage, which was really nice so we could enjoy the rest of our day by quat. The rest of the service was also really good. The owners already did some groceries for us (bread, wine, eggs, juice, butter, cheese, coffee, marmalade, milk, water and even toothbrushes etc.) When the electricity felt out, they helped us within 5 minutes and everything was fixed.
The old men who lives next to the apartment is such a friendly person. He brought us some melons, a present and some other greek fruits.
The apartment itself is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The pool/jacuzzi is fantastic, also at night when you can enjoy the stars with some wine.

The quiet area.
The location is not so easy - our local taxi driver couldn’t find it. The person who gave us key didn’t speak english. In the offer the breakfast was included, in reality we had some products for breakfast in the fridge. The water inside the bath wasn’t changed and looked bad. Small quality for this price.

Aris is a wonderful host. He is so helpful and he gave us many tips to improve our trip. The place was very calm and « cocooning » we loved it. It was perfect.
