The location was great
We got there 20 minutes before check in and the place looked deserted, even though a sign said open from 12pm, finally saw someone outside who worked there and said it would be open at 3pm. The room we were in was tiny, no view from the window, no tv but we had the remote. The room was super hot, tried turning radiator down but didn’t make much difference, got hardly any sleep as it was too hot even with the window wide open. Only gave us one mug for coffee and no milk, and only half a toilet paper. We were hoping for a cooked breakfast but it was continental only which was so poor, we just had an apple juice then went. On check out no staff were to be found, found them outside eventually.

Great location, comfortable room and very clean with a good ensuite shower room. The room was spacious and had 2 comfortable chairs, desk, touch lamps and plenty of sockets.
They had forgotten to put the cups and spoons in the bedroom and there were ony 3 sachets of milk: this was quickly remedied when we spoke to staff. There was not much we could eat on the continental breakfast buffet although when we asked they did provide gluten free bread; luckily we had brought our own gluten free porridge pots ( if you are coeliac remember to take take your own toaster bags as there was one toaster).

Great comfortable pub accommodation in quaint town. Very comfortable room and good pricing.

It’s a nice building from the outside
The room smelt of the woodsmoke in the town. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly. The walls were so paper thin that even ear plugs didn’t block out the noise from neighbouring rooms. The pub music is loud in the room until closing.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was hit and miss.

The location is great, Bedroom was spotless and comfortable. Shower good. Hospitality tray good. Warm rooms. Great view of the street.
Breakfast could have been more continental with ham an d cheese however for the price it was okay.

it’s a lovely property in a good location (we have stayed here twice before)
Staff are friendly and helpful. The property has been freshened up and our room was excellent with everything we needed
Although our room was lovely , the toilet hadn’t been cleaned prior to our arrival
Breakfast was ok and plentiful (continental) but we’ve had a full English breakfast on previous stays

It’s located in the heart of Corbridge, there was parking
The room was average and the bed was very squeaky and uncomfortable. The bathroom door didn’t close and some of the lights weren’t working. When we arrived there was nobody at the reception and the person at the bar didn’t seem to know where we were staying. On the first morning was no breakfast because of the storm (that’s fair enough and couldn’t be prevented) but we were informed about this with no apologies and told we would get £6 back. We ended up spending about double that in a cafe in town. The next day we came down for breakfast again and for checking out but we found everything dark and closed and nobody around. So once again we weren’t able to have breakfast (although the pub was fully functioning the night before so whatever damage the storm had done must have been fixed). As we found nobody to check out or ask we left the keys in the room and left. All in all, the service was very poor and for £110 per night we expected better.

Breakfast and staff very good, location in Corbridge good.
Dinner menu was poor (no desert available at all )and presentation poor - total contrast to breakfast which was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable but other areas looked tired and worn including the exterior.
3.0
Good location.
Room was expensive for what we got, en-suite shower room had several problems, toilet dirty, sink cracked , shower door in poor condition and dirty glass shelf on the wonk and unusable. Floor in bedroom sloped so the beds sloped! Difficult to sleep as a result. Overall poor for £170 per night

Well cooked and just sufficient for us.A very peaceful location, great parking and lovely views.
Check in was confusing. Asked when we would arrive and quoted 11 to 12. Unfortunately no one arrived until 12 and we were then told check in was 4pm. The staff were very helpful and we were allowed in our room earl.
9.0
A good choice of options on the breakfast menu with unlimited tea or coffee. The bar area was very pleasant with comfortable seating. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. I would happily stay again if in the area.

Comfortable beds, large room. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
Decor a bit old fashioned. Staff couldn’t answer local area questions.

We were attending a concert in Corbridge and wanted an overnight stay so we didn't have to drive home to Durham at night. The room was adequate for our needs. The staff were a real plus - friendly and helpful. The room was small and a bit poky/dated but it's an old building so to be expected. The room was clean and the towels were good quality. There was a better variety of tea available than in many modern hotels. We asked for a quiet room which we got. The room bore no resemblance to the pictures on the website but I suspect that was because we were at the back.
We would have liked to have bedside tables with lights on both sides of the bed rather than one side (there was room and there were sockets). There was no information about the hotel, check-in and out times, breakfast times or other food available in the bar. Also nothing about the town or local visitor attractions. The room was quite dark and too hot. There was a fan but we would have liked to be able to open the window. There was a large cupboard with the hot water tank in it which made the room a rather odd shape. The most disappointing thing was the breakfast. All the hot food was priced although breakfast should have been included in our deal. We didn't like having the large sauce bottles on the table. We only wanted a continental breakfast but what was on offer was unacceptable as it consisted of only packets of cereal (corn flakes, crunch nut cornflakes and bran flakes) and milk. No fresh or dried fruit, no yoghurt, nuts, seeds, no pastries or croissants or rolls. Tea/coffee were also self-service into small cups without saucers - no teapots or mugs. The water urn was still heating up when we went in at about 8:20. We waited 20 minutes for a plate of white sliced toast with the cheapest thin marmalade. This is simply not good enough for £130 a night.

Location was good. The service was slow and it wasn’t made clear that you had to help yourself to cereals and coffee. There was no muesli and no teaspoons.
It wasn’t clear who was responsible for check-in and we waited for 10 mins.
The room was very hot all night as the sash window could not be opened. A fan was provided but not very powerful.

Our trip was excellent from the moment we booked in to the minute we booked out. The staff were helpful cheerful and courteous. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a good choice of menu We didnt have to wait long for service and the food was hot
There wasn't anything we didnt like about our stay. It was close to the local shops and within walking distance of Roman Corbridge.

Dirty room and toilet.

The room was spotless and very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.
The hotel seemed short-staffed though and the staff there were seemed disinterested at best and surly at worst. Take earplugs too, the wall between our room and next door was paper thin and I was kept awake by someone snoring in the next room!

Location is great, and parking is included
Noise from the corridor travelled easily into rooms. Breakfast was awful. Staff were unprofessional/generally absent.

Warm hotelroom. Dusty fan. When leaving we asked to pay, but they said everything was paid. In the evening i received a message that my card was not correct and i had to pay. After 3 (!) telephone calls on my vacation from my side, it was finally fixed after 3 weeks. No thank you, no nothing.

Friendly staff, nice breakfast, clean room, and in a good location. It’s a good spot for a few nights to explore the surrounding area.
Walls are a bit thin so you can hear the other guests.

no fridge in room, water pressure for running a bath not the best

The breakfast was delicious, cooked to order and perfect.
Two of the spotlights in the bathroom were not working , so it was too dark to shower, no one was around to replace them so the staff instantly offered to change my room which i was very impressed with.
3.0
comfortable room and beds, room facilities fine
no active manager. chef had accident in evening and next morning was single-handedly cooking and serving breakfast with bandaged hand. second morning chef at A and E, substitute in kitchen clearly not experienced in serving breakfast ( uncooked eggs etc).
management could clearly not cope with emergency tho injured chef went over and above.
