Befindlich in Schertz, dieses charmant aufenthalt auf dem bauernhof für 136 € pro Nacht ist ein phantastisch Auswahl für Ihr nächstes Urlaub. Hier wohnte die Weltklasse-Triathletin Joanita Reed. Sie hat über 50 Jahre hier gelebt, ihre Hunde und Hühner aufgezogen und für ihren nächsten Wettkampf trainiert. Sie gründete 1964 an dieser Stelle die NBJ School of Swimming und gab das Geschäft 2004 an ihre Tochter Nancy Rathburn weiter. Nancy und ihr Ehemann Greg leben seit 1977 auf der Farm, Nancy verwaltet NBJ und Greg ist die Köchin im Bed and Breakfast. Nancy wird von ihrer Tochter Jessica unterstützt. Wir bieten das ganze Jahr über viele Aktivitäten an, viele ohne Aufpreis. Im April können Sie Ihren eigenen Wein abfüllen. Für diese Aktivität benötigen wir eine Reservierung von 60 Tagen im Voraus. Während des ganzen Sommers sind im Weinberg immer Arbeiten zu erledigen, z. B. Baumkronenbewirtschaftung und Unkrautbekämpfung. Wir ernten die Trauben im August, was Handpflücken und Stampfen bedeutet. Der Zeitrahmen für die Weinlese ändert sich mit dem Sommerwetter, so dass Sie für die genaue Woche im Voraus überprüfen müssen. Wir haben Honigbienen, wenn Sie noch nie Honig geerntet haben, ist das sehr lohnend. Es ist auch im August, fordern Sie weitere Informationen. Wenn Sie ein Jäger sind oder jemals jagen wollten, sind September bis Dezember Ihre Monate. Wir haben Hirsch (Bogen und Gewehr), Truthahn und Taube zur Verfügung, die meisten ohne zusätzliche Kosten. Nancy und Jessica stehen von Juni bis August für private Schwimm- / Schlaganfallunterrichtsstunden zur Verfügung (gegen Gebühr).

My husband and I found everything to love about this delightful and history-filled farm house! It's charming, pet friendly, very clean, a cozy bed with the devine bedding and pillows, the shower rates a 10, the pool is gorgeous, farm fresh eggs, and a resident outdoor kitty. It's convenient to grocery stores, restaurants, and tons of Texas fun. And the owners, Greg and Nancy, are so welcoming and truly the best hosts. We'll definitely be back!!

Greg and Nancy were so thoughtful and kind. It was a birthday trip for my daughter and we arrived to a large happy birthday banner. They took us to visit their chickens and gathering eggs. The pool was nice and clean; beautifully maintained. It was like staying at a beloved aunt's house. We will definitely go again!

Greg and Nancy were incredible hosts. They checked on us before we arrived, met us at the house when we arrived, checked on us throughout our stay, offered suggestions on where to eat and things to do, and checked on us after we departed. The home has been in the family for decades and well-maintained. It was cozy and convenient to everything we wanted or needed to do in the San Antonio/New Braunfels area. The pool was nice, clean, and inviting. The screened porch overlooking the pool offered a cool retreat from the summer heat. We would not hesitate to stay at Omi’s Place again.

Nothing but great things to say about our stay. Hosts were attentive but not overbearing. Beautiful property, home, pool and close enough to SA and NB to be convenient but far enough out to have true peace and privacy. We will return and hopefully stay longer.

Greg and Nancy were so welcoming and hospitable. This property is outside of town and is a little rustic with all of the modern conveniences. It was so cozy and the decor reminded me of the comfort of my grandmothers’ homes.
Greg keeps the pool immaculate and it was nice to just be able to relax. While this was a getaway for me and my husband, a family would also be very comfortable here. There is plenty to do.
We also appreciated the dog friendliness and being able to bring our dogs. They had never seen chickens before and were fascinated by them.
If you want to decompress with low stress, this is a great option!

However, the cleanliness of this property was alarming. Most of the dishes/utensils had old food stuck to them. The only thing we used were the pans (but had to scrub them); otherwise we used paper products that we bought.
The toilet was filthy.
It was hard to relax at times because it was so dirty. And i felt i wanted to clean. Which i did do some of but it was not comfortable there for this reason. We spent a lot of time outside.
My son did enjoy feeding the chickens.
If we come back to the area we will not stay here again.

I cannot give enough praise for our stay at Omi's bed and breakfast. We stayed 43 days and enjoyed every minute. It's nicely situated 20 miles out of san Antonio. Close enough to enjoy everything San Antonio has to offer and yet its out in the country. Greg and Nancy Are the most gracious Hosts one could imagine. They gave us excellent info on all things to do in the area. The home is very well equipped. The living room has very comfortable leather furniture. Wifi was excellent. We didn't miss anything that we had at home. Beautiful screened porch overlooking a huge pool. We were there in the spring and the pool is not heated, but that didn't keep my wife from going in when it was in the high 80's. The chickens were fun. We already signed up for a return trip next year.

This is exactly what we needed. The hosts were extremely accommodating and are both very gracious people. We weren't able to check in until 9pm but both hosts were there upon arrival to help with us with checking in.
We brought our two dogs and they had the best time! They both were allowed in the pool which was one of the highlights of our stay! We also got to watch the hangliders each morning which was also really cool!
Overall I would recommend this stay for anyone and maybe one day we will get to revist!

Travelled to the area for the Total Archery Challenge event at Natural Bridge Caverns. Found this gem online and couldn’t be more pleased with this home. So close and convenient to everything. The house and property are amazing. So comfortable and felt like home. The pool and outdoor amenities are awesome. Very relaxing. We can’t wait to book again!
