Had an awesome time with my family. House was super clean. We chose it because of its location being close to the beach (Bahia Honda), to Key West and also because it was pet friendly. Our puppy really enjoyed the house as well... especially the coconuts! We used the bikes while we were there, the kayaks and enjoyed the hot tub. It is under the corner of the house but you can still see an amazing view of the stars. House is very cute! Loved having the enclosed screen porch as well. Owner is very easy to communicate with if needed. Would absolutely recommend and go back :)

Awesome vacation!

Excellent home for a Vacation!
My family and I enjoyed staying at this property for our Keys vacation. The home was very clean. We enjoyed paddling the kayaks and using the Huge hot tub! The screened in porch was a perfect place to enjoy morning coffee and sunsets. The home is close to Key West and also local restaurants and markets.

We have just returned from a six week stay at this house. We arrived in mid January, just four months after Irma slammed Cudjoe straight on so we did not know what to expect. When we got there we were pleased to find the house in a-one condition -- it had survived the storm fairly intact, and the owner had made all repairs to return it to excellent condition. The owner was very easy to talk to and work with. He wants his renters to be satisfied and have a good experience during their stay.
The house is very comfortable, clean, and all appliances and amenities worked as advertised. The Spa/Pool is amazing and enormous. It would be lots of fun for a family (or a party), but two can enjoy it, as well. My husband and I are walkers and we liked this location because we could cross the highway and take long walks on the trail paralleling US #1. This trail would also be a good place to ride the bikes that come with the house -- something we did not do because we were always walking with our dog. The kayaks that come with the house are excellent.
Finally, two things that I really liked about this house that made staying there a pleasure: 1) good, reliable WiFi, and 2) it was easy to clean! When you are away from home for an extended period of time, you appreciate "being connected," and it is so nice to not have to spend lots of time on "household chores" while on vacation. The house is well set up to be comfortable and connected and easy to care for. Thanks, David!

We have just returned from a six week stay at this house. We arrived in mid January, just four months after Irma slammed Cudjoe straight on so we did not know what to expect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your home. The home was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The canal docking was great for our boat and loved being at the quiet end of the canal. Highly recommend this home to anyone and the SquareGrouper restaurant is a must for a fantastic meal!

Wonderful home in the perfect location
If you are looking for a place that is quiet and relaxing yet close enough to get to Key West easily, this is the place. The house itself is comfortable and well equipped. The screened in porch was used by everyone in the morning to relax and read the newspaper. The hot tub was used and enjoyed.
Our favorite restaurant, the Square Grouper is within walking distance and we ate there several times. Key West is such a quick drive from the home, we were able to visit several times.
Best of all was the proximity to the water. We did not use the canal as it was a quick drive to boat ramp. Again, we were in the perfect location to venture out into the ocean or to the gulf side. The water is incredibly beautiful and the fishing is great.
We had a wonderful time and hope to return again next year.

The location of this 3 BR / 2 BA offering is very convenient to day trips to Key West. And a short ride up a couple of Keys to the markets made this choice ideal for us. At mm 21.2 or so on the Overseas Highway, the rental is a couple blocks toward the ocean, situated at the end of a canal on a corner property in a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Guests here can feel at home in the well-appointed and nicely tropical-themed decorated space. It helps to have near perfect winter weather conditions here, but if not, this home away from home has very comfortable systems to take the chill off of a cold front, or of course, to mitigate the warm and humid air at this latitude. Communication with the host was easy and he was responsive to our every need and inquiry before, during and after our stay.

You can also fit two boats on the canal front once they are in the water. Plenty of room.
Quiet neighborhood, and the hot tub is huge. The kids loved it.
Overall, it was a great property, and David was extremely responsive to our questions leading up to our stay.

WoW!!! We had a Blast
We had so much fun! Thank you to David for all his help and quick replies to questions we had! The house was neat, clean, well stocked and just right for our needs! The really large jacuzzi was awesome and so relaxing. Hot or cold it was just perfect! The canal and dock were great for easy access to fishing, snorkeling, and romantic sunset cruises! The location of the house was just perfect for little trips to Key West for fun and food! (Just 22 miles north)
Try The Wharf on Summerland Key for fantastic seafood! David's brother Mark gave us such fantastic fishing instructions that we caught 6 beautiful dolphin fish (mahi mahi) and grilled them to perfection along with the lobsters we got.
Our baby boy (dog) Ruger had a blast too and we were so blessed to have him wit us! We had the time of our lives there and made many beautiful memories together! We will definitely make a return trip soon!

A fantastic place in a great location. Everything you need for a great holiday!
Dave has a lovely house, in a great location. There is everything you need to have a great holiday. It's a 20 minute drive to key west, but there's a great restaurant at the top of the street. We hired a boat from Big Pine Boat Rental (on the next key up - not big pine key), and had a great time fishing, dolphin spotting & visiting the key side restaurants. We will certainly be coming back for a bit more of the good life!!! Andy, Lisa & Owen (Staffordshire, England).

Another great Keys vacation!
Been vacationing in the Lower Keys for years, mostly staying on Little Torch Key. Decided to go a few miles down the road for this house because of the spa/pool to cool off in at end of day (much better than a hot tub in the Florida weather). We enjoyed it very much. The house is nice and super clean and we loved the proximity to the Square Grouper restaurant. Not cheap, as others have mentioned, but well worth the price for a great meal every time. Nice, quiet residential location and close enough for a day trip to Key West. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to say.

Excellent stay
My husband and stayed at this house for about 2 weeks for our honeymoon! The house had everything advertised including the bikes kayak and hot tub. Dave checked in and made sure everything was in order and the house was extremely clean the day of our our arrival. We enjoyed the area very much as well. we had a wonderful stay and want to go back. We would recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a home away from home while they're on vacation. Wonderful house.

Could not have been more pleased
This was a honeymoon trip and very first visit to the Keys for my wife and I. When we return, we will absolutely look here first to set up our accommodations. For starters, the location suited us perfectly. Quiet neighborhood, with very friendly and welcoming neighbors. A very short walk to the Square Grouper, a great restaurant. Also very accessible to Key West (30 minutes) and several other attractions nearby, Ramrod Key, Summerland Key, Big Pine Key, Bahia Honda. We enjoyed this part of the Keys very much. In addition the amenities provided by the owner were perfect. We used the hot tub every day. Having access to the canal and use of the kayak was a lot of fun. The bikes were also nice as we used the Bike paths along RTE 1 a few times. Finally, the house was very clean and very comfortable. A great place to come back to after exploring the keys. Dave was very easy to work with from start to finish. The price also seemed very fair. All said, I have zero negative comments and no hesitation recommending this rental. Great memories from an amazing honeymoon trip.

Great Home Base for the Lower Keys!
This canal-front vacation rental had all the comforts of home (A/C, Wi-Fi, CATV in every room) plus extras and was very clean. The décor and setting immersed you in the locale. Best for us was a fully fenced yard that we could let our dogs romp freely in. The location was perfect for day trips to Key West, Bahia Honda State Park, and, for those wanting their doggies to experience the beach, Veteran's Memorial Park on Little Duck Key. All are close by. At the end of the day, you can enjoy the beverage of your choice on the lovely screened porch overlooking the canal. For a very fine dining experience, though not cheap, there is the Square Grouper Bar & Grille immediately south of the turnoff from US Hwy 1 en route to the vacation rental. The owner was a pleasure to deal with. We would love to return anytime we're vacationing in the area.

Very nice neighborhood & corner lot. Lots of space. Very clean & owner accommodating. Kayak on canal, bikes to ride. Fish house up the street & square grouper bar & grill. We enjoyed staying here.

Sorry it took me so long to write this review. This is great house. Very clean. The owner is great, good communication, always quick to respond. When we got there to meet the handyman very nice guy. The property is well taken care of. We also got to meet the neighbors. She was helpful and looked out for us. We also met the couple that cleans they do a immaculate job. There are some great restaurants near by. Suggest the drive to the Stuffed Pig! Also enjoyed Mangrove Mamas Restaurant. Lots of room to bring our boat and very safe. Love the outside shower think it was the only shower we used. Short drive to Key West. Can't wait until our next trip.

Great central location, super clean, hot tub!!.
This was our first time renting a home for vacation. It was wonderful. The house is clean and very comfortable. We had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. Our only problem, if you can call it that, was not being able to get out of the hot tub! Once you get in you will never want to get out again. We enjoyed the house so much we opted out of going into Key West some days to just relax at home. The dishwasher was not working when we arrived on Christmas Eve. Dave, the owner, left a note and contacted us by email to let us know. He apologized for not being able to get it fixed right away because of the holiday. I really appreciated his concern for us and that we enjoyed our stay. Dave was very kind, helpful and easy to contact. Thank you for sharing your home, we can't wait to make another trip.
