I loved everything about this hotel. The location 📍 in the heart of Medina. The design gives the flavour of being part of the neighbour. The staff Jasmin, Isam and Mohamed all went above and beyond the call of duty. Credit to the housekeeping I am who kept the place spotless and the lovely breakfast served on the terrace gives a homely atmosphere.

Cute little hotel right in the middle of the medina. If you arrive by car, you can park it for 20 dirham per night at a parking lot just five minutes away. Really nice family who runs the hotel and friendly staff overall. The breakfast was also great!
It got a little humid in the room since the bathroom was part of it and the air couldn’t really circulate well, but that was just a minor issue - we loved our stay here!

Have given a review for this place. Basically it's amazing, I recommend.

Our stay here was amazing - made especially special because of our lovely hosts. Jasmina and her family were truly incredible, we were looked after almost like family. If I ever make it back to Chefchaouen I am definitely staying here, and telling all my friends. The breakfast included fresh orange juice and delicious coffee, the rooms were adorable and the location was ideal - right in the middle of the quaint blue city.
My only criticism is the noise at night, because the rooms open out to the main stairwell so late night guests arriving will most certainly wake you up.

The family was gracious and hospitable. They were so nice and hooked us up to a hammam. They made a wonderful Moroccan breakfast every day

Lovely little family run riad right in the Medina, so getting around was so easy. Staff are so friendly and helped us arrange for a taxi to get to Akchour, and then Fes. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely, and the room was comfortable. This is a bit more of a rustic accommodation but it was just what we were looking for.
Our rooms weren't cleaned daily, but we noticed that other rooms were. We only realized at the end of the stay that it might have been because we didn't leave our key with staff when we left! So that was our bad, just remember to give them your key if you want the rooms to be cleaned, but the rooms were already very clean when we arrived and the rest of the riad is spotless :)

You need to light a fire. It's I'd Traditional. Summer would be nice and cool.

somewhat difficult to find at first until you know your way around. That’s good location for sightseeing close to square. The staff especially Jasmine was especially helpful. Breakfast was always on time and tasty and basic.
fixtures in the bathroom could use an update and tightening, but the water was hot and adequate. The room was small, but the price was also low.

The staff was helpful to an extent. Decor was adorable and it was pretty. Very central as well
The staff left out alot of info that led us to having a terrible stay.
1) The room was quite terrible. When we entered, there were still bus tickets from the previous occupants on the table, which is ok. However, we had to climb up 2 floors to the separate bathrooms which is ok, BUT, there is NO hot water and the showerhead fell on me when water was turned on.
In addition, the room had NO heating, and we later guessed that there was supposed to be heating/burning firewood, BUT NO ONE TOLD US. There were NO thick blankets and we froze to death overnight, even after wearing all our gears. Bed was really hard and had some sandy things on it too.
There is only 1 socket that is almost dropping out and quite dangerous. Also one of the doors got stuck so we had to slide in and out, thankfully we are quite skinny
2) They close the maindoors and lock it so you have to knock and when we got back after having tea till late with some locals, they were very annoyed. But we were not informed of any cut off timings
3) The bathroom latch has a metal piece sticking out so please be careful because i cut myself opening it.
NO ONE TOLD US ANYTHING!

Loved the design of this place, painted blue like the whole Chefchauen Medina!
Very kind personel
Tasty breakfast
Great price to quality ratio
Located in the heart of medina
Once there was no water at night but it was not hotel's fault
The place is a little hard to find at first
Unfortunately there is not an option for a free parking, the closest one is on Av. Hassan II street, but it was really crowded in October and paid 30 dirhams per night). From there it is 5-10 minutes walk to the hotel.

Friendly staff, a warm welcome from Bilal. Rooftop terrace for continental breakfast. Quirky balconies and staircases, the bedrooms are arranged around a central courtyard/light well, bright decor in blue, yellow and white. Excellent location situated in the old town. French, spanish & english spoken.

We loved the location and the road itself, it was a very pretty place to stay and the staff were brilliant.
Our room didn't lock which was a concern but we had everything of value with us at all times whilst we were out. The only other thing we disliked were how noisy other guests were, some lingered by our glassless window which annoyed us as they were loud.

The property was beautiful, the room was perfectly fit for three people, and in a lovely style. the terrace was perfect for breakfast and leisure, we also had a delivery pizza on the rooftop! Bilal was a great host, very attentive to the needs and friendly, he also organized for us a traditional moroccan hammam for 150 mad each, an incredible experience! His wife has a charming handmade boutique in the souk nearby.

However as for me, the bathroom is not comfortable, very small space

We had a wonderful stay at Dar Terrae. We booked two nights and eventually stayed one week. The Dar is very cozy and the terrace is the best place to eat breakfast. The owners and staff were very kind and friendly. Breakfast was delicious (pancakes, toasted bread, butter, jam, honey, a little bit of cheese, fresh orange juice, coffee and milk). Good location (close to the main square). Good bed.
There wasn't any soap and toiletpaper in the bathroom and we always had to ask for toiletpaper when it was finished. The upper bed in our room was spacious enough, but we wouldn't recommend it for children.
