Incredible location and rooms. It's located within a beautiful forest-like area. Falling asleep to the sound of a flowing river was fantastic. The massages are highly recommended too!

The restaurant is beautifully located by the river. Unfortunately, the food is well below local standards but priced higher. It's a shame, because if the food were a little bit better I'd love to have dined there every night due to how beautiful the surroundings are.

We loved this place, unfortunately we only stayed 2 nights. The food was just delicious, our room just perfect with a beautiful patio overlooking the river. And staff was over friendly! Would go back for sure!

We loved everything about the Darmada it was like paradise in a rain forest. Our room was clean and peaceful. Quite open to the elements but you have to expect that if you stay here. The pool was wonderful, the staff so friendly and lovely food! The best place to stay if you want peace, quiet and a slice of paradise.

Only thing I can think of is new yoga mats as they were very old!

Everything was immaculate! The rooms were gorgeous overlooking the lake, I’ve stayed in a lot of resorts but I have to say this one is one of the top on my list! The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD. The palm reading experience with Wayan was beautiful and to know that he’s the owner of the resort, hats off to him, he’s done such a brilliant job. What I loved about this property is that I wasn’t locked in my room I could wander around anywhere and sit and just watch the beautiful nature this property is enclosed in. 100% recommend! They’re also certified, so their hygiene is lovely.

Really beautiful site - it was such a tranquil escape for a few days. The staff were very helpful, I had a very relaxing massage on-site and I loved the sound of the river while falling asleep. As a solo traveller, I had one of the cheaper rooms and really loved how much private space I had to relax and chill out.

The breakfast options weren't as good as other places I stayed in Bali.

I can only say nice things about Damada Eco Resort. First of all, the Sidemen area is a peaceful jungle paradise, unspoiled by mass turism. The Resort is located right next to the Sidemen Rice Fields, which provide a breathtaking view of the mt Agung volcano. You will have it all by yourself to enjoy. My partner and I rented scooters from the Resort for only 75,000 RP per scooter per day. We Saw the Holy Besakih Tempel, mt Agung and Lots of beautiful waterfalls within reasonable travel distance from the resort. The Resort itself is beautiful and well kept. It felt like a little jungle getaway. The restaurant had very good food, we loved each dish we tried. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with every single request we made. The owner of the Resort personally came around to make sure that everything was to our liking.

Everything was good, honestly can’t say anything bad about this Resort even If I had to try.

Great service. We had a nice cooking class next to the restaurant + we rented a scooter to explore Sidemen. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Superb surroundings; next to the water and surrounded by nature! Next visit to Sideman we’ll stay here again!

Loved everything! The location by the river is lovely and the grounds are beautiful. Our cottage was sweet and the two dining areas were very, very nice. I spent one morning on my computer at a table overlooking the river and cannot think of a more wonderful place to work.

We found our room hot at night, but learned that next time we can request a fan ahead of time. And we definitely will be back!

the room is beautifully decorated, clean and spacious, the staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive, the resort is close to the river and it is such a quiet and peaceful place to stay. I came here for spiritual journey, did yoga and meditation.. and this place helps me a lot. I will definitely come back and recommend this resort to others seeking mindfulness

the river sides are not very clean where here and there I saw plastics carried by the debris.. this is not the resort fault though but it would be better if they put more attention to it

Lovely setting situated at the bottom of the valley alongside the river in beautifully landscaped grounds with streams, many little ponds and pathways crisscrossing. The resort is run on an ecofriendly basis which is something we heartily support as owners of an eco centric business ourselves. The owner Wayan was very friendly and welcoming. The ladies who checked us in were super lovely and very apologetic that our room was all open and not described as such and that our room listing should not have said we had an air conditioner. At the end of the day we were offered a complimentary hour massage each by way of apology which was very kind of them.

To be aware for the bug allergic or phobic all of the rooms are open air, with many openings, wooden slats over windows instead of glass for half the windows and decorative air bricks all the way around. Thankfully the bed does have mosquito netting. As the rooms are by a stream the water running is quite loud, especially with the open concept rooms. We could hear our neighbours clearly even over the loud river- as the walls are very thin for the adjoining rooms. As we travelled in the rainy season everything was very damp- unfortunately it was rather like sleeping under a wet towel all night. To note the rooms are very simply furnished and do not have fridges, kettles or a/c and the lighting is extremely low. Your neighbours, if over 5’5” can see into your shower, the bamboo walls are short for westerners 🤦 The restaurant was very hit and miss, we had lovely breakfasts and snacks however the carrot cake was more fruitcake and all of us returned a pork and pineapple stirfry that was simply inedible. It would be great if the listing was updated to reflect the open air nature of the rooms on offer. All of our party are westerners who live in Indonesia. All open accommodation is not the norm, even in Sideman ☺️ We were alarmed to learn that there is no garbage collection in Sideman and the locals discard of waste in the river. If you do visit Sideman please consider taking any waste with you so that it can be responsibly disposed of.

an incredible surprise, if you want peace and nature overload with endless things to do, this is the place. you can huddle in your room and that is plenty or take advantage of the activities. highly recommend. staff is unbelievable, villa is amazing, food is incredible.

The nature that surrounds the hotel and the super kind staff!

You might be aware that you’re gonna be in the nature, so lots of insects, even in your room. Also there’s no AirCon but to be honest in our case it was no needed as temperatures were not high. The big dealbreaker is that there’s no internet in the rooms. Only in the reception and the pool which is FAR away from the rooms, so if you’re a foreigner without internet trying to plan your next days it might be difficult.

The place is stunning, very nice personnel in a quiet and green place, with a charming river across. Good Breakfast.

Wifi is not available in the rooms or the villas and this is not expressly mentioned in the booking add, no matter what the hotel is saying (mentioning wifi is available in the common parts is not expressly mentioning that it is not in the other parts). Hotel facilities are a bit old, the swimming pool is not the cleanest and when we were there at least there were only few mats to lay on, not enough for the guests. Surprisingly we did sleep in « the house of a friend of the owner » (that is what we were told) which was rented as part of the hotel room. I am not sure of the explanation but the fact is that it was quite dirty (including the bed, see pictures), that we were forbidden to touch certain equipment and did not have soap there. So just be informed if you book the Arjuna Bungalow or go on Airbnb for the same dry-service and certainly cheaper. Another deception is related to the intermediation services of the hotel regarding transportation. We had to renounce going to Besakih temple after the hotel asked for an indecent price to pick us off there (11km from the hotel) while a grab driver was more than twice cheaper for the return trip (will pass on the extravagant reasons we got explaining this difference between hotel fares and app fares). Best would be to have all your transports booked and prepared in advance to and from this place, as isolation becomes very profitable for the hotel, less for you. A lot of details here for my dear Booking.com fellows just for them to be informed of the whole picture before booking this place considering its relatively high fares.
