Vincent, the owner, is super attentive, helpful and accommodating. The view from his 20th floor condo is the best I’ve seen and we’ve vacationed at the Portofino for the last 10 summers! Best place to vacation hands down.

Bathrooms need bleaching, painting and fixing of broken, uneven bath tiles. Rotten wood and mold in master Bath. Appliances like dryer make horrible noise when running, several kitchen appliances don’t work and hair drier in bath doesn’t work. Safe also doesn’t work. Not to mention the sliding back door that didn’t lock. When spoke to owner he said to put a stick in it. After about 10 minutes he realized how unsafe that was and said he would send someone to fix the next day. This place needs major cleaning, remodeling and update of old dirty stained paint on walls and furniture. Definitely a “rental” unit not maintained by property but by vacant owner in different state. I will Return to property but to newer tower(4-5) and newer updates unit. The view was nice from this balcony. Faced the gulf beach. That’s it.

From the check in process to leaving the property it was a first class experience. The unit was clean, spacious and met all of our needs. The overall property is great, from the pools to the restaurant. Every meal we ate was fantastic! We have a family of 6 and it was plenty of room for us with easy access to the beach. We will be booking this unit again!

Portofino is one of our favorite places to vacation. Pensacola beach is anazing and Portofino makes it easy. The unit we stayed in had a great view and quite comfortable.

The best view of the entire island. Love our condo and stay. The 20th floor is the way to go!!! I love Tower 1 and now love floor 20. I can not wait until next year! Also in the 6 years that we have been coming here, this is the first year we took advantage of the free trolley. The way to go when you do not want to deal with limited parking in town. Also Dolphin Cruise offered through the condo was fantastic and we even caught a rare glimpse of a manatee. Planning on a blues cruise next year!!

The 20th floor views from this unit are incredible. The host was very communicative and even went out of his way to get the cleaning crew in quickly so we could check-in much earlier (12 PM). Obviously this wasn't a guarantee, but he was able to work some magic. The cleanliness of the unit was good. We had everything we needed utensil wise in the kitchen. As some other reviews stated, this unit needs a lot of updating. The furniture in the living room is small, so we didn't use the living space much to socialize with our friends staying with us. The bed in the master is an older spring mattress so any movement by one person will disturb the other. The owner did confirm he is in the process of sprucing up the place. I think this unit will be unmatched once it is. Thanks for everything!

We had a great time celebrating my daughter’s birthday. Two adults and her friends, tweenagers. Clean and basic with great views and amenities. Host could not be better, and I would stay here again just for his prompt responses and service. Portofino is always enjoyable. Beautiful pools and obstacle course for kids allows for a ton of fun! Come and enjoy!

Property was as described, very clean, views were really great! Had no issues with anything. Owner very quick to respond to any questions I had. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend this property to anyone.

I was not impressed at all. For the price I paid for this, it was not the quality I was looking for. I went by the reviews and apparently, it's not something I can trust on this site. The furniture was OLD and stained. The mattress was sunken in the middle. I had to call the Maintenace to TAPE up the remote control so the TV would work. I could go on but you get the point. ZERO stars. I’ve stay at lot of condos. I've used VRBO multiple times. Never an issue. But The Portofino Resort is the best!!! Beautiful place. I highly recommend the resort!!

I came for a few days of r&r and family time. It was a beautiful week. The water was gorgeous and the sun was shining. The view from this unit is unimagineable. I got what I came for and I hated having to leave. I would recommend this vacation location.

The overall facilities of Portifino are amazing. There is so much to do, that you'll never have to leave. The pools are amazing and well kept and the beach is right there. The condo was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed our time!!

Overall was great, the young man at check in was not friendly at all, however the rest of the staff was very friendly.

This an amazing property and great for families. We stayed for fall break in 2022 and loved it.

Great view and location

My husband and I needed a weekend away and what we got was simply paradise! The views from this unit are million dollar views from the 20th floor. You can see from the sound all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. The condo was spotless and so beautiful. The host is also wonderful. So easy to work with. Will be returning again and again. It’s breath taking! Don’t second guess yourself on this unit you will NOT be disappointed! Also if you can hit the spa for a massage.

The Portofino Resort is gorgeous in itself - but this room was incredible! Access to the beach & pool/hot tub was easy! & the pool was heated! The views from the balcony were breathtaking. It was a perfect way to start the morning with a cup of coffee. There was a nice round table , perfect for family dinner & games after. Updated kitchen appliances!

We had a get time, only problem it was to short, wish we could’ve stayed longer .

We’ve stayed @ Portofino resort before and loved it! This unit was dirty when we arrived. We got into the unit @. 5:30. I contacted the owner, he said they were busy because it was New Year’s Day. No one contacted us about late check-in or that the unit would not be ready at our designated time of 5pm. The cleaning crew arrived at 7pm and left at 8:30 pm. Overall the furniture was very uncomfortable, Beds are super hard and the king in the Master sinks in the middle. The linens were hard and stiff. The living room furniture is very small. The large rug in the photos showcasing the unit is no longer there, it was gone. The floor was so dirty we had to wear shoes the entire time, or our feet would turn black. I tried to find a mop to clean. It was so dirty and old it wouldn’t have helped. The oven mitts were disgusting and super dirty. We did not use them. It was very uncomfortable and we’ll never rent this unit again! We actually couldn’t wait to leave. Since it was paid for we stayed. The dryer vent has a hole in it and lent has built up so much it is clogged from the wall to the dryer (which is a fire hazard). It was the reason our clothes took forever to dry. The comforter and shams for the beds that were on the bed when we arrived unmade were out right back on the beds. We took them off and used our own blankets & pillows (since we drove we had them for back up). The owner never reached out to see if the unit was cleaned properly and if everything was okay. The only e-mail we received was to let us know the unit was available for another night if we decided to stay. Portofino overall is a beautiful property with lots of activities to do with the family. The views from the 20th floor of this unit are amazing g and it’s the only thing that made it worth the trip. The unit needs updating and much TLC. If they would put more into it and take care of their guest it could be a beautiful vacation. Our Family will never stay in this unit again. To the owners, I took pictures of every detail listed above, which I’ll email you so you can see for yourself. If you don’t live close to check your unit, the cleaning company you employ to care for this unit. Isn’t doing you a service! I’m not one to complain. But the unit was in sad shape! Good luck

From start to finish, from original booking to checkout, this has been nothing but a fantastic experience!

The unit is very poorly put together . Felt like a motel furniture. The blankets were stowed dirty. The sofa was so fealty looking had to use a sheet to cover and sit on. Bedroom tv the volume acts up. In the kitchen there was no coffee ( minimum courtesy) Extremely disappointed and not what I’m used to see at Portofino.

Experience was great! Was comfortable with plenty of room for our stay. Was a great location as we went to the Alabama side and to Destin. Did use toll road quite a bit to access grocery store so keep that in mind. Liked that out tower had its own pool and hot tub with the option to go to the bigger pools. Used the gym quite frequently which was really nice. Overall, great stay!
