Overlooking the rolling hills and meadows of Johanna and the natural forest on the property is this 2 bedroom cottage. A modern well appointed home that sleeps up to 4. Bedroom 1 has a Queen size Bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 long singles. You can hear the sounds of the ocean just a short 3.5km away at Johanna Beach. Stroll along the sandy shores and watch the stunning sunset over the water. If fishing is your thing you might just like to drop in a line and catch a fish or 2. For those who like a slower pace you can laze away on the day bed as the morning sun fills the whole house with its golden rays.Relax in the living area whilst watching TV/DVD or simply take in the peaceful outlook of the meadows and rolling hills. This 12 acre property has its own forest filled with fern gullies. Take a short stroll along the tracks through the majestic tall timbers. At the end of the day relax and enjoy a BBQ with a glass of your favourite drink. Or just cuddle up next to the warmth of the wood fire in cooler months. The property is situated just 1 klm off the famous Great Ocean Road. It is ideally located, giving you easy access to many Otway attractions, The Otway Fly, Maits Rest,Melba Gully, Otway Light House, Castle Cove, Triplet falls, just to name a few. The Great Ocean Walk meanders along Johanna Beach, the 12 Apostles are a short 45min drive away and the coastal town of Apollo Bay is a 30min drive. Bush or beach, relax or explore its up to you. Do as much or as little as you like. Please note: minimum 2 night stay Seasonal minimum stays. The house is beautifully presented, clean & comfortable. It only had 2 drawbacks for us: the driveway in with little or no room to safely turn the vehicle in, on a steep slope. And the house is on the same steep slope some 20 - 30 metres below the drive.

The cottage was warm, clean and cosy. The property was beautiful - we enjoyed walking through the forest and picnicking on the lawn. We loved the closeness to the beach and the quietness of where the house was located. Anna and Branko were great hosts! The extra touches they left throughout the house were most enjoyed. Thankyou for a very enjoyable stay! We will be back!

We absolutely loved Johanna Meadows Cottage. It was so well equipped and in a beautiful location. Communication from the hosts was excellent too. It was a great base for us to enjoy the local walks and waterfalls.

Set in a quiet, picturesque rustic location Johonna Meadows was the perfect accommodation for our 4-night stay. Very spacious two bedroom cottage with everything we needed to cater for ourselves. Great log fire added to the comfort of the lounge area. Good breakfast provisions which included their own honey. A bonus was access to the herb garden and lemon and lime trees. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending Johanna Meadows to anyone looking for first class accommodation - we will definitely return if we visit the area again.

Another wonderful stay at Johanna Meadows. Thank you Anna and Branko for your thoughtful hospitality and for providing us with such an enjoyable and relaxing experience. This time the trees were showing their autumn colour. As always the cottage was lovely and clean, comfortable and cosy. The wood fire makes all the difference and we really appreciated a plentiful supply of wood. It was the perfect way to celebrate our 25th anniversary and we look forward to our next visit.

This is a beautiful hidden gem! Such a beautiful house surrounded by beautiful views …. Johanna beach also stunning - although not a swimming beach we really enjoyed going there! Half hour to Apollo Bay. You want to take time out from the busy rat race please go to Johanna meadows!

A nice quiet location, perfect for families! We loved the private walking track, the wildlife, the fresh strawberries in the garden & all the space for the kids to run. It was clean, beautifully decorated & welcoming! We loved it!

Quite Magical
Thank you Anna and Branko for sharing Johanna Meadows with us. You are both wonderful hosts. This was our second stay and it was just as relaxing and enjoyable as the first. Comfortable beds and sofas make all the difference as does a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Cosy wood heater. A daybed for reading, a nap or just looking out over the meadows. A forest to wander through. A garden full of flowers and herbs. Happy bees. Blue wrens hopping about and so many other kinds of birds. Kangaroos grazing. Koalas high up in the gumtrees. Beautiful Johanna Beach just down the way. We very much look forward to our next stay.

This beautiful cottage was immaculate, it really has everything you need for a perfect getaway.
So many extra touches, honey from the bees on the property, garlic from the garden.

Words don't seem enough to describe how beautiful and peaceful Anna & Branko's cottage is and how comfortably appointed everything was! All the caring touches and the amazing countryside around us with the birds and the animals was the perfect getaway for us. We will definitely be back as it was so peaceful and restorative!

We absolutely loved our stay. Light filled, open living/kitchen area with a perfect perch by the windows and views for reading and relaxing. The walk down to the property boundary through rainforest and to the creek is spectacular and definitely worth checking out!

Better than it looks online !
This is the most perfect little house and we stayed the week. We relaxed, went for beach walks, bush walks , watched the birds darting around, cooked with herbs from abundant gardens and had nights in front of the fire .
What a lovely spot and such a beautiful property.
Everything is so considered , they really have thought of everything.
I always wonder if I’m going to need to bring a sharp knife or a stick blender for making soup , but this little gem of a property has absolutely everything you would need foe your time away.
I’m also very particular about cleanliness and this house is so tidy and clean there was no faulting it.
The gardens are gorgeous and the Forrest below the house is your own private rainforest to explore.
I can’t recommend this place more highly - 10/10.

Just beautiful
Anna and Branko are wonderful hosts. I communicated with Anna and she was lovely. She couldn't have been more responsive, considerate and helpful. The cottage is cosy, comfortable and very clean. So many lovely touches. Good quality beds and furnishings. Everything you need for preparing meals in the kitchen. We watched the sun rise in the mornings and stargazed at night. Fairy lights twinkled after dark. Magical. A beautiful garden with trees and flowers. So many native birds including little wrens which were always close to the cottage. We heard frogs, owls and koalas at night and saw kangaroos at dusk. The property has it's own native forest to wander through and the beautiful Johanna surf beach is only a few minutes drive away. I've been staying in Johanna for years and Johanna Meadows Cottage has been the loveliest accommodation by far. So peaceful and quiet. We very much look forward to our next stay. Thank you Anna and Branko.
