Beautiful spot for a restful vacation

Nice, clean, updated house. The upper level is open with large windows and a vaulted ceiling. Very nice decks. Just a heads up that bath towels and bed linens are not provided. Overall a very nice experience.

My husband and I spent a week here with my dad. It is a clean, light space with views of the sea from the deck, living room, and well-stocked kitchen. Fun to watch the kites (and people!) fly by your window. If you love to walk beaches, you couldn’t ask for a better place!

Solymar was exactly what we were looking for! Spectacular views of the ocean and easy access to the beach. Watching the sunrise every morning right from the deck was awesome! The house was exactly as shown on line, and clean & well stocked. We had high expectations & were not disappointed!

Listen to the joyful noise of waves and feel the breeze dancing around, it is like living the dream. The view through the oversized windows are even more stunning than the picticures, which are impressive already, on website. The helps provided by the owner Anne and maintenace manager are exemptary. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

The house is ideally situated on the coast in a great part of the Cape. We enjoyed listening to the ocean as we fell asleep at night and breathtaking sunrises in the morning. The floor to ceiling windows in the living space generate an instantaneous sense of calm. My most common thought during my time at this house was there's no place I would rather be.

Our second time staying here and every bit as great as the first. Beautiful house with incredible views and a short walk to the ocean. We will definitely be back next year!

We loved tour stay at Solymar! The property was exactly as shown and described. Words can't describe the beautiful views of the ocean out of the magnificent windows! The location was perfect. We had everything we needed to make our stay perfect - hopefully we will return soon!

I don't think this property can be beat for quality and location. Our family of two adults and six children thoroughly enjoy our stays here. We will definitely be back!

The views from the house are so spectacular that you could spend your time on the two large decks. But the cape is all about the water and sea food. For these the location is perfect, with direct access to the ocean beach, close to the ponds and the town of Wellfleet. The house is very comfortable and well maintained. I will go back.

We had a wonderful stay in this oceanside retreat. The pictures and listing were spot on for location and overall home description. The short stroll to the beach was a wonderful daily treat for us, our 2 children and dog. There are a lot of stairs (83) down the dune to the beach but the reward was so well worth it! If stairs are a problem, the public entrance is a short 5 minute walk (with dog and kids) from the house. We had a very minor issue due to a strong storm during our stay and once reported, we were immediately greeted at the house by a lovely gentleman who made all repairs fast and asked if we needed anything else while he was there! Nothing short of pure professionalism and great customer service by him and the owner, Anne. Waking to the ocean sunrise and falling asleep to the crashing waves were by far the highlights of this trip! We would absolutely be delighted to stay at this well equipped and beautifully located home in the future again! Wellfleet is truly a place to be treasured and enjoyed slowly :)

Our first experience using VRBO couldn’t have been better. The owner returned messages promptly. The house was as described and pictured with THE most spectacular panoramic ocean view that goes on forever. The home is very nicely equipped with everything you need. We are very much looking forward to a return visit during the next off season.

This property and the owner will only set your VRBO standard higher. The description is spot on. If you do not have experience with an upside down house, this will encourage a very positive opinion. A note in the very robust Renter's Guide (found easily on the kitchen table) politely requests renters be mindful of the outdoor lighting, and only put the lights on sparingly as a courtesy to the neighbors. Well, with the long bank of huge windows facing the ocean, we found an extra bonus: Enjoying the Star showers and star gazing at night with all the lights off. The night time view is strong competition for the glorious view of the ocean during the day. The appliances and such are all updated and worked prefectly. Although 'small', we hosted another family of two adults and three children under 14. No problem. We stayed between Christmas and after New Years, and were warm and comfortable every moment. The Kitchen is well supplied, with matching cutlery and sharp knives (you know how that can go many times). Our dog, a southern hunting mut, absolutely loved it. Be mindful about Ticks and the expected wildlife just out the door. We enjoyed the home immensely. The huge windows and sliders allow a 'small structural footprint' to be perceived as a larger place. We hiked daily along the beach below, and also enjoyed hiking the Province Lands out by P-Town (a must!). The French boulangerie , just up the road is a super plus. We loved the rustic environment around the home, and also the simplicity of the home itself (updated, clean & homey with breathtaking views). * The Owner, Anne, was most welcoming and accommodating. By far, Anne sets the standard for VRBO owners. We will be returning for sure. Just leave us time around the Christmas Holidays ;)

Spectacular views and setting with all of the amenities of a bright, comfortable house with plenty of room for 6. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay!

The property was just as the description read, location was ideal. If you are looking for an easy going house for a relaxing beach vacation, this is the one.

We were initially concerned about the square footage of the home but no issues - we were upstairs and on the deck most of our home time and bedrooms were sufficient. Kitchen was fully stocked and so were the beach needs (chairs, umbrellas). Two entrances to the beach (which is the best - few folks, clean and unlimited views), closest one has 82 stairs with a rope handrail - (we used it as our exercise challenge) and the other is a dune walk, which is not a far walk either. Bikes were easily delivered and picked up at home. Book this one- you will love it!

Although mother nature was not kind to us this week, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view from the upper deck is gorgeous. It's a nice quiet location and easy to get to. We will certainly try our luck here again. Thank you!

Home: There are 3 bedrooms (1 queen, 1 full, 2 twins) and 2 full bathrooms (1 shower stall, 1 tub) in the home and that comfortably fit 6 adults (My parents, 2 30 year olds, 2 20 year olds) and our dogs. Our biggest concern was the square footage, but we took the chance and are really happy we did! It doesn't feel like 960 sq ft (combined sq ft of both floors) because the ceilings are high and the space is just laid out really nicely with the furniture spatial configuration - the large windows and wrap around porches on both levels also adds to the expanse of the space and always makes you feel like you can move around easily. Beach: This was the other item I was anxious about because listings tend to over state their proximity, but the listing was true to its word! There are 2 points of access (important for those of you who are older or who have dogs that can't do stairs.) The closest one is about a 30 second walk to a set of stairs that the neighbors chip in to have installed every season - it leads down to the private part of the beach. It was up by the time we were there (end of May), but it's not there year round - so that's important to note. There are a lot and they are steep - thus elderly or dogs who can't do steps, it won't be good. About a 1 minute walk past one of the neighbors' houses is another path that goes to the sandy hill (public access) leading to the public area of the beach. Dogs are allowed on the beach, but they need to be leashed at all times. Host: Very gracious, answered questions quickly, and was an absolute pleasure to communicate / work with before / during / after our stay. Summary: My dad LOVED it and he is an extraordinarily hard man to please - so that was our temperature check for whether or not us "kids" did a good job in planning this long-awaited family vacation. At the end of our trip, he asked if we could come again next year! :) SUCCESS!!!

The house was awesome! EXCELLENT location and views!! The house has everything you need. Very comfortable, spacious, practical. We were here during the "off season"... but there was plenty to do in and around Welfleet.... and daily walks on the beach and SPECTACULAR sunrises from the porch! Certainly a very nice week! Would go back in an instant. The owner is wonderful.... very helpful!!

When we arrived, Anne had the heat already turned on for us. The whole time there, the temp didn't really go above 40 but we still enjoyed the beach that is really close to the house. The house was immaculate and well stocked with everything we needed. We had a small maintenance issue and it was resolved very quickly by the very friendly property manager. We have stayed at the Cape many times in the past but not on the National Seashore side. Falling asleep to the crashing waves was awesome. We definitely want to come back to this house. We loved it!

We really enjoyed the cottage, the main room is great with a beautiful view. Nice wooded area, the beach closeby is great too.
