Beautiful and spacious rooms.
The service was quite poor. For example: we went down to enjoy the bonfire and they had extinguished it 45 min earlier because "nobody was there" and it was "windy"...there were 6 of us there disappointed to see the staff driving away after putting out the fire and it was not windy. We also went to enjoy a complimentary beverage in the morning and they had shut that down an hour early.

Excellent location bang on the lake, the rooms facing the lake were awesome
Breakfast was included in the room plan, but they charged for the side dishes, which was not informed at the time of placing the order.

Beautiful hotel and resort with exceptional lake view from our room. Great staff with service. The golf course was amazing and the staff where also great.

I liked the place , the location and how quiet it was
It should have Netflix and the boathouse should be open to dine in anytime without reservation that way is not convenient we had to drive to downtown to get food

Stunning location, with sweeping views of Lake Muskoka. Super comfortable and clean rooms and kind and attentive staff.
The facilities look tired, the lobby is not even a proper lobby. Poor landscaping on the grounds, weeds everywhere needs stone work around the pool, rec center is rather dull and not inviting. The new building under construction across the boat house is an eye sore of major proportions. This location could have the most amazing facilities.

The property is quaint and everything is within a close walking distance. The pools, beach, activity centre and trails. The property is extremely clean and well manicured.
I can’t say there is anything that we didn’t like. Some may find it very quiet. There aren’t any shows or entertainment and food options are extremely limited, especially for families. The rooms do not have kitchenettes so you need to drive off the property for more affordable breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

Beautiful resort, to have the pool and beach so close together was best of both worlds.

Hotel room was very large with great views of lake Muskoka. The bathroom was also large and updated very nicely.
Pool area needed stonework repair.

The location is beautiful but the resort could use a facelift. We did not eat at the resort.
The rooms are beautiful, but we found the resort to need a facelift. Balcony’s are showing wear. They could use a facelift and the grounds could use some work. We are seniors and walking down to the pool was tricky. The walkway was very uneven and a trip hazard. We almost tripped around the pool also. The resort could use some TLC

The views, water sports, accessibility, lake
No bar or lounge area to hang out and sit and grab a snack. Loved the old concept that got burnt down

We had a really amazing stay here and even think of visiting again in the summer. The lake view is amazing even in winter and I can imagine how wonderful it will be in summer. The winter activities are plentiful. We didn't have a lot of time to enjoy them all, but we did go tobogganing. While at it we saw that the skating lake was being prepared after the snowfall. I can imagine that it would be great to skate there. The room was spacious and the staff was nice. The stay is not cheap, but we did not regret it.
There's nothing to call out on the dislike side. It was a really pleasant stay.

Our king room on the fourth floor with lake view was PERFECT. Very clean. Staff was very kind and welcoming, although we did not need them outside of checking in.
Looking to return in the summer is far out of our price range for a weekend getaway. But that’s just how it is! Nothing to do with our stay.

We traveled to Muskoka for the Fire & Ice festival and stayed at Taboo. It being winter, I wasn’t sure, it would be enjoyable but we have it a go.
The hotel is lovely. Big spacious rooms, very comfy beds, amazing views. The staff was very friendly and as a surprise there were a lot of winter activities for us to do.
Great stay, definitely recommended.
